NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Senior Encounter Data Business Analyst to join our team in Menands, NY.
 

The Senior Encounter Data Business Analyst will perform extensive business and technical analysis of the existing Encounter Data collection and data analytics system and evaluate possible enhancements and alternatives to the system and to meet current and future business needs.  Analysis will include assessment of capabilities, cost/benefits, and timelines and assist in making recommendations and alternatives to enhance/replace the system. The Senior Encounter Business Analyst will be working closely with the client leadership, specifically the Director and senior executives and with Encounter Data system vendors.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Review current Encounter Data system functionality
  • Assess current state and develop future state functional requirements for encounter data system
  • Research options in industry and other states for solution options
  • Gather information from management, stakeholders and users to identify and document business and system issues, defects, gaps and identify current business and program needs
  • Review system requirements and system design documents from vendor for enhancements and validate level of effort and resource estimate for staffing and schedule
  • Identify and resolve risks and issues impacting the progress and outcome of the project
  • Lead triage efforts of system, software, or data issues and coordinates remediation efforts
  • Research and provide recommendations to management on critical business decisions
  • Create business artifacts, business flows, and requirements mapping as needed
  • Collaborate with other project areas to provide subject matter expertise and assistance as applicable
  • Perform periodic assessment activities with focus on requirements traceability and testing
  • Attend project and status meetings
  • Collaborate with other team members to provide subject matter expertise and assistance as applicable
  • Ensure that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicable
  • Employee is expected to undertake any additional duties as they are assigned by their manager

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years Encounter data system / business analysis experience
  • Experience in data analytics and data analysis
  • Experience in healthcare and managed care plans and systems
  • MMIS experience
  • Solid understanding of systems development and input/output modeling
  • Experience working on large, complex systems projects
  • Knowledge of PMBOK
