We are currently seeking a ServiceNow Architect to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

NTT DATA ServiceNow Architects bring their deep understanding of system and software architecture to design complex, user-friendly solutions on the ServiceNow platform for our customers. They lead and prescribe clients to best practice and collaborate with team members to achieve project goals. Their ServiceNow skills are kept on the bleeding-edge, they innovate Intellectual Property on the platform, and serve as technical subject matter experts to clients and teammates.

 

NTT DATA is seeking a ServiceNow Technical Architect.  The ServiceNow Technical Architect will support one of our Key Federal Programs in our Washington DC/Northern Virginia location which is currently remote supported. This position will serve as chief architect for application development, implementation, and maintenance of a ServiceNow Platform to support a customer base of over 1800 agency staff and 250,000 external customers at a federal agency. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead all technical aspects of delivering complex customer solutions on the ServiceNow platform, advising clients on best practice to create lasting value and enhanced user experiences
  • Define the Strategic Roadmap for the ServiceNow Platform with respect to our client’s implementation
  • Provide input to governance groups to ensure priorities align with the Strategic Roadmap. 
  • Contribute on multiple Agile project teams, utilizing the NTT Data methodology and tools to enhance project efficiency and quality
  • Define technical solutions, design approaches, and advise resources on development and configuration activities and best practices
  • Estimate units of work for technical resources and forecast changes to the Program/Project Manager(s)
  • Participate in sprint planning efforts, including reviewing stories against business requirements, splitting epics, and ordering development logically in a virtual environment. Own the technical quality for the program, participate in code reviews, and oversee Go-Live planning efforts
  • Assist with discovery workshops and collaborate closely with Business Process Consultants to define customer requirements
  • Participate in internal knowledge sharing, coaching, and collaboration activities and initiatives
  • Serve as mentor to junior architects, developers and testers

 

Minimum Requirements

  • A Master's degree and a minimum 10 years of related client-facing professional consulting experience, preferably with 6 years of ServiceNow platform experience with a comprehensive understanding of the product suite
    • A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 13 years experience is also acceptable.
  • Minimum 3 years strategic planning and roadmap development for ServiceNow implementations
  • Demonstrated experience with an Agile methodology, participating in sprint planning efforts, reviewing stories against business requirements, splitting epics, and ordering development logically in a virtual environment
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • ITIL Foundations or higher certification required

 

Desired Skills

  • One or more of the following certification - CSA, CAD, or CIS in any of ITSM, ITOM, HR, CSM, ITAM, or ITBM
  • ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA)
  • Experience defining technical solutions that align with security governance protocols
  • Experience assigning estimates for units of work (stories, defects, documentation, etc.) and coaching resources on the technical development and configuration against defined user stories
  • Ability to lead client facing workshops and meetings, and conduct calls with customers independently or in support of business process/requirements gathering efforts
  • Experience with supervising and inspecting upgrades and code migrations between instances, as well as providing feedback to technical resources on approaches to remediate assigned defects
  • A passion for advising and guiding customers and team members on how to get the most out of the product and for learning the latest product features
  • A calm, adaptable, and driven approach to both client engagements and internal efforts/teams
  • A love of working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and adaptive environment with smart and fun people
  • Experience in one or more of the following: web technologies (HTML, CSS, AngularJS), Integrations (using REST, SOAP, Integration Hub, LDAP, SSO), and custom (scoped) application development
  • Agile certification
