NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Network Engineer with Secret Clearance to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).



Position Duties:

  • Facilitate broadband circuit reconfiguration and confirm operation. 
  • Install new tech refresh router and RPS power supply to include reconnection of server, ILO, and UPS connectivity.
  • Install additional Power Distribution Units “PDU” in server cabinet.
  • Install additional shelving as needed in server cabinet.
  • Re-address Server NIC, Server ILO, and site UPS.
  • Install new tech refresh edge switches and configure stack topology which may encompass multiple switches, multiple data closets, and / or multiple floors.
  • Install PDUs when needed in switch racks.
  • Re-configure the new tech refresh switch connectivity.
  • Create new DHCP reservations for every workstation and network printer on site as necessary.
  • Create new printer queues.
  • Install Ethernet cabling to support ceiling mounted WAPs, this includes installing new patch panels, RJ45 jacks and termination blocks.
  • Test all new cabling, certifying that installation conforms to current standards.
  • Install and configure wireless access points. Will analyze and test to confirm they are operational.
  • Re-address switch for secure cameras and confirm if this security component is operational.
  • Re-address secure network and confirm operation.
  • Assist site users with remapping site printers.
  • Label all network Workstations and Network Printers.
  • Conduct a site survey to capture an accurate floor plan (to scale) and will identify the site cable drop plan to include every network, Internet, and telephone drop location as well as all closet locations and layout.
  • Create and submit as-built documentation post installation.
  • Communicate with Engineering as necessary and other team members within Unit to ensure equipment and site is configured and operational prior to departing site.
  • Upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10 for end user's desktops and laptops.
  • Assist end user's with connecting their network and local printers and scanners and any other peripherals after Windows 10 upgrade
  • Install FXO/FXS network cards to be used for VOIP to the routers.
  • Connect Fax lines and analog phone lines to the FXO/FXS cards to support VOIP.
  • Position requires up to 50% travel.

Position Requirements:

Active Secret clearance 

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Technology.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • MCSE, CCNA, or Network+ certifications
