We are currently seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

NTT DATA is currently seeking to hire a Cyber Security Analyst to support a Cyber Hygiene project offering the following services - Vulnerability Scanning, Phishing Campaign Assessments, Web Application Scanning, and Posture and Exposure.

Tasks include, but are not limited to: 

  • Maintaining service queues and process documentation, monitoring report generation and delivery, providing recommendations for service enhancements, and assisting with other requested deliverables
  • Contributing to daily, weekly, and monthly to status reporting
  • Researching solutions and tools that would provide an efficient, streamlined, and scalable approach while maintaining a high quality of service 
  • Collaborating with in-house development team

 

Key skill sets include, but are not limited to:  

  • A strong understanding of cybersecurity information technology, security applications, and networking basics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a team player mentality
  • Experience using JIRA or another ticketing system to track task status
  • Analytic experience in reviewing reports and providing a basic analysis of findings and results
  • Vulnerability Scanning:
    • Experience with network and vulnerability scanning (Nmap and Nessus is preferred)
    • Experience remediating a wide variety of vulnerabilities
  • Phishing Campaign Assessments:
    • Understanding of real-world phishing techniques used to fool email recipients into taking a desired action (e.g., click links, open attachments, provide sensitive information)
    • Strong technical writing and analytical mindset needed in preparing vulnerability assessment reports
    • Basic understanding of Linux
  • Web Application Scanning:
    • Experience with web application scanning and web application scanning software tools (Qualys is preferred)
    • Experience in web application development, use of various web application frameworks, knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities, a strong familiarity with the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) top 10. 
  • Posture and Exposure:
    • Mid-level development skillset including Python
    • Hands-on experience working with APIs and writing scripts to pull data into a database
    • Analytic experience in reviewing data, pulling relevant data out of large data feeds, and providing basic analysis of results of findings
    • Experience with creating and deploying a database

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT and/or Cybersecurity projects, including 2+ years of experience with Nmap and/or Nessus Tenable, for Vulnerability Scanning support
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Suitability Determination
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline equivalent experience

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with Splunk
  • Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle and coordinating requirements with development teams.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience with AWS
  • 1 – 2 years of experience developing, coding, scripting
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
