NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer - FEAF to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

 

 

Job Description:

  • Responsible for updating and keeping current the USAID SDLC as pertains to both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.
  • Engage in defining, developing and keeping current engineering (SDLC) and architecture artifacts and standards.
  • Provide oversight of Enterprise SDLC reviews including change management to ensure compliance with standards and required guidance and in this context.
  • Lead, Coordinate and participate as required in Architecture (ARB) and Engineering (ERB) review boards.
  • Support the effort of collaborating with Information System Security Office (ISSO) to ensure all required security controls are built into solutions.
  • Responsible for Maintenance of the Enterprise IT Strategic Plan (ITSP) and Enterprise Transition Roadmap (ETR).
  • Provide guidance and expertise on applicability of industry standards and best practices such as ITIL, CMMI, COBIT, IEEE, SAFe, Agile and DevOps and other leading industry practices.
  • Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to project staff.
  • Shall have experience of data access, analysis and reporting capabilities, to support investigation and closure of GAO, FISMA and IG audit findings.
  • With regards to Engineering Innovation-
    • Responsible for promoting IT innovation through research and development and by providing assessments of new and evolving technologies, techniques, and industry best practices in IT infrastructure (e.g., hardware, software, network infrastructure, telecom, and industry best practices). In this context, take responsibility for:
      • Monitor and track emerging tools and technologies by following industry and academia research efforts. Maintain a technology radar of promising and applicable candidates.
      • For promising candidates prepare and brief required stakeholders on pros/cons of same. This will include, presentation, business cases, white papers etc.
      • Take responsibility for developing prototypes and/or proof of concept (POC) of promising and approved candidates, and brief senior executives and other related stakeholders on findings of same.
      • For qualifying POCs and prototypes work to update related Enterprise architectures models and engineering processes, practices and applicable artifacts to facilitate the secure, consistent and standards aligned utilization of applicable new tools and technologies across USAID projects.

 

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • MA/MS and 10+ years’ experience or BA/BS and 15+ years’ experience
  • Strong experience in Software Engineering and/or IT networking and infrastructure engineering with both Waterfall and Agile, Agile/SAFe certifications is a plus
  • Experience drafting concept definition papers, analysis of alternatives, and business cases as necessary
  • Experience working with Federal Enterprise Architectures Framework (FEAF 2.0) and associated BRM and TRM is a plus
