We are currently seeking a Business Analyst & Tester to join our team in Ashburn, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Role:
As a Business Analyst, you will be the link between the product owner/customer and the technical IT team. You will own the product on behalf of the stakeholders/customers, make appropriate decisions and learn new skills which may include learning some technicalities of development. You will work within our agile software development process and have an important impact on the features and services provided.
As a Tester, you will be a key member of a team driving the quality of the products and services to the next level. You will work within our agile software development process and have an important impact on the features and services provided.
What you get to do in this role:
Business Analyst: The Business Analyst focuses on product backlog, stakeholders, and customer needs.
- Grooming the product backlog based on the prioritization provided by the product owner.
- Analyzing the customer needs and finding the solutions to address them.
- Creating the requirements in the form of user stories with appropriate acceptance criteria.
- If in case the user stories have been already created by the product owner (with acceptance criteria), then reviewing them to make sure that every business rule is covered, and the acceptance criteria meet the user story functionality.
- Working with the product owner and the stakeholders to understand the scope, suggest improvements to the requirements, etc.
- Preparing documents like wireframes, design flow, UI etc., as, and when required.
- Lead brainstorming sessions when the team meets to discuss the upcoming sprint’s backlog. The Business Analyst guides the team, helps them to understand the requirements and even at times must approve the implementation.
- Works closely with the QA’s on analyzing the test coverage, converting real-world use cases into test cases, providing insight to test complex functionalities, etc.
- The Business Analyst also participates in the planning meeting to help the team in estimations by helping them to understand the flow, complexity, and dependency.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen due to Government Contract.
- Ability to obtain a DHS security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Computer Science, or related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Scrum Master.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in QA/Testing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the testing process, test types, and testing methodologies.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in debugging, testing, and problem-solving.
- Minimum 1 year of ServiceNow Agile Development experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master Practitioner and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner, is a plus.
- Proven ability to drive cross-team technical discussions and decision making.
- Strong aptitude and helpful attitude in providing excellent support to cross-functional organizations.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a very dynamic, and timeline sensitive.
- Ability to understand technical issues at a high-level.
- Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Proactive, consistently demonstrates initiative to take ownership of resolving issues and gaps.
- Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
