NTT DATA Services Public Sector Vertical is currently seeking a Transportation Sales Leader supporting our State & Local business unit. The purpose of this role is to use expertise in the Public Sector transportation industry to lead NTT DATA Public Sector’s efforts to establish, plan, and grow NTT DATA’s business in the transportation industry by consulting with C-level and other public sector executives on business challenges facing their industry while positioning NTT DATA Public Sector for pull-through sales of our core service offerings.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Clients and Prospects
    1. Partner with client teams on transportation -relevant topics for sales efforts
    2. Develop and support client proposals and conversations on transportation-relevant topics
    3. Support client-driven campaigns and develop focused offerings to take to clients
    4. Manage the pipeline with the client teams providing support
    5. Establish and execute a client forum to connect clients and prospects to discuss relevant industry topics
    6. Establish a priority and target list of clients and prospects (States, Cities, Counties, etc.)
    7. Accompany and support sales and client executives on prospect calls.
       
  2. Collateral Development
    1. Maintain key industry practice collateral – fact sheet, transportation-specific overview, credential deck, success stories
    2. Develop points of view to share with client teams
    3. Build out knowledge of industry practice area through asset harvesting from engagements
    4. Develop playbooks and other intellectual property for future engagements
    5. Train the sales and client executive community on our transportation specific capabilities and solutions.
    6. Determine appropriate industry forums and events NTT Data should participate in and promote our transportation capabilities
       
  3. Community
    1. Engage with the community through ad hoc methods (e-mail articles, newsletters, town halls, forums, meetings, etc.)
    2. Hold a community meeting at least once a quarter
    3. Support community member learning through 101 training classes, ad hoc meetings to explain topic areas and answer questions, etc.
       
  4. Industry Practice Management
    1. Develop an industry point of view for NTT DATA in the transportation vertical
    2. Meet with management monthly to provide status
    3. Identify opportunities for alliances with other companies in the same field
    4. Advocate of transportation practice (Champion) through social media
    5. Lead efforts to promote and educate industry analysts, third party advisors and vendor partners on the NTT DATA transportation capabilities, solutions, benefits and success stories.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of transportation (Primarily DOT focused) experience within a government entity
  • Required to travel at least 50%
  • Experience establishing transportation offering(s)
  • Knowledgeable of industry leaders, events, forums relating to transportation
  • Knowledge of competitors in the market
  • Willing to participate in industry forums and engage as an industry SME
  • Ideal candidate has established connections with state DOT’s
  • Comfortable presenting and interacting with “C-Level” executives and agency leadership.
