NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Network Support Engineer to join our team in Bakersfield, California (US-CA), United States (US).


The Network Support Engineer will work with a fast-paced global leader in IT Services, helping to ensure our client’s networks are optimized and reliable, and that disruptions are quickly and efficiently resolved.  As part of our Network Engineering team, you will be responsible for steady-state support of the customer's network, including all incidents, requests, and changes, as well as spend 30-40% of your time working on special projects.   
**This role requires working onsite daily at our customer’s various facilities in Bakersfield, CA, as well as the ability to participate in an on-call rotation schedule with other team members.  Role may require 5-10% regional travel in California.  
- Coordinate network project tasks and maintenance windows with user community, peer network staff, and Change Management team
- Process ITAM (IT Asset Manager) and MACD (Move, Add, Change, Delete) items, and coordinate maintenance windows with user community and Change Management team
- Work in a Help Desk System on a list of delegated requests and incidents that must be completed within a fixed SLA
- MDF/IDF closet build-out and physical installations

- Work with vendors and be professionally assertive when required
- Relate information to technical and non-technical users, peers, and senior leaders
- Articulate precisely in written and verbal communications
- Travel to sites to perform work depending on incidents and changes
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree and 3+ years relevant network support experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Cisco Nexus platform (7k, 5k, 2k) configuration experience in a Data Center environment
- Cisco 6500 / 4500 / 3560 / 3750 configuration experience 
- LAN configuration experience (HSRP, RSTP, Port-channel, VLAN, trunks, ports),
- WAN configuration experience (T1, MLFR, MLPPP, DS3, ATM, MPLS, Metro Ethernet) 
- IT equipment physical handling experience, such as network switches and routers, UPS, structured cabling, IDF and MDF infrastructure
- Experience with Cisco command line interface


- Network Security experience
- CCNA/CCNP certification
