NTT Global Sourcing currently seeks a Business Intelligence Specialist Advisor to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

About the role

The Business Intelligence Advisor/Business Intelligence Specialist Advisor will utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large volume data sets and use this information to develop data-driven solutions for addressing difficult business challenges. Monitoring, analyze and report out business performance, financial results and other KPIs defined by business

 

Responsibilities

  • Data enrichment/gap fill, standardization, normalization, and categorization of Spend data via research through different sources like internet, specific websites, database etc.
  • Data quality check and correction, process, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
  • Design, develop and maintain database tables, structures, schemas, and dictionaries
  • Write optimized SQL queries for data extraction as well as integration with other applications
  • Manage database backup, restore the process, and manage permissions to the users
  • Ensure the performance and stability of SQL databases and handle any security-related issues
  • Design workflows in Alteryx Designer to develop models as per requirements
  • Create and maintain the documentation of the architecture, data models and maintenance activities
  • Create automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
  • Stakeholder management & communication
  • Preparing analysis and presentation (PPT) of required data/information
  • Project coordination, reporting and management
  • Help Category folks in cost saving opportunity assessment- data mining, data insight and analysis.
  • Email communication with stakeholders on request acknowledgment, project status and response on queries
  • Enhance data quality from the technical specification and description perspective
  • Provide technical consulting to the category managers around the industry best practices of product data enhancement
  • Continuous process improvement and efficiency gain using automation or any other process standardization techniques

 

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a quantitative discipline in science, business, or social science. Advance degree preferred
  • Minimum 10-15 years of work experience in the fields of data management and analysis
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Procurement data management, Spend analysis, RFP/RPQ/Quote analysis
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role
  • Demonstrated experience with data architecture, data integration/ETL, data warehousing, and/or business intelligence deployed in a complex environment
  • Prior experience working on Reporting/Visualization Tools such as Power BI, Tableau
  • Must have excellent in presentation & communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Good research and logical skills. Strong data collection, consolidation, and cleansing skills
  • Understand the pulse of the business and contribute to ideation and execution of projects
  • Ability to scope, plan and execute assigned projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Analytical and Presentation skills using MS PowerPoint or any other story- telling platforms/tools

 

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of advanced MS Excel/ MS Office
  • Knowledge of Macros/VBA and other basic automation techniques
  • Visualization capabilities Power BI / Tableau, SQL databases (MSSQL, etc.)
  • Knowledge about Alteryx Designer tool as well as Snowflake will be added advantage
  • Experience with no-SQL databases (Mongo, Neo4j, etc.) will be added advantage
  • Experience in requirements gathering and analysis and defining the implementation roadmap

This is a full-time salaried position with a group company within NTT Global Sourcing.  Please note, 1099 or corp-2-corp contractors will NOT be considered.
