NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Sales Proposals Manager to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

 

 

The Proposal Manager is responsible for leading the large and complex proposals. This individual will operate in a leadership role, partnering with sales, BD, solutions, pricing, and operations teams, to manage the development of complete, compliant, compelling, and winning proposals. This individual is required to have both broad and specific knowledge across business, project, proposal management, SharePoint collaborative tools, and document/presentation development domains to successfully manage high quality proposals.

Leading the proposal team effectively to meet schedules and deadlines
Supporting the opportunity owner and/or business developer articulate the win strategy. Helping compile and distribute customer/competitor intelligence, customer hot buttons, anticipated cost threshold, preferred solution and other background information.
Decomposing and translating RFx requirements into the compliance matrix, annotated proposal outline, and content plans
Working with the opportunity owner, business developer, and principal architect to annotate proposal outlines with the win strategy, themes, discriminators, source content, graphic concepts, and other writer guidance
Establishing, communicating, and managing the proposal development and production schedule; maintaining and publishing to the proposal team an updated schedule as adjustments are made
Assign proposal responsibilities to proposal support team members including writing and reviewing assignments.
Facilitating the use of various proposal tools, work products, and techniques to direct the proposal team to write a proposal that fully executes the win strategy.
Leading proposal phases, activities, and milestones (including, but not limited to, the proposal kickoff meetings, data calls, storyboarding sessions, solution freeze, informal proposal reviews, and collaborative writing sessions).
Conducting milestone readiness reviews to assess proposal readiness for color team reviews; adjusting the proposal development schedule accordingly to accommodate corrective actions
Conducting writer training and working sessions to include content refinement to achieve proposal compliance and alignment with proposal theme and messaging
Matrix-managing the proposal coordinator, proposal editor, proposal graphic designer, proposal technical specialist, and publications process
Managing the pricing, estimating, and operational resources responsible for developing the cost volume, basis of estimates, work breakdown structure (WBS), organizational breakdown structure, project schedules, risk assessments, contracts, and other program-related plans and deliverables
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years in proposal management, proposal development, or pre-sales bid management
Ability to work often unpredictable schedules, including overtime, evenings, and weekends; and often over holidays
Ability to effectively lead diverse teams of senior and junior personnel, provide constructive and appropriate performance assessments, and resolve disputes
Ability to conduct oneself with confidence and professionalism, including making sound decisions regarding proposal strategies
Proposal experience supporting a broad range of industries and solutions with complex and simple proposals
Demonstrated understanding of business development lifecycle
Formal proposal management and project management training and education
Technical writing and editing, including editorial practice and standards
Document/graphic design and development standards
Industry-wide best practices in proposal management
