NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Transition Manager to join our team in Carlsbad, California (US-CA), United States (US).

 

 

The Transition Manager will be responsible for leading the transition in activities will include planning, managing, and executing a thorough Transition Planning process by ensuring that all tasks within the following areas are assigned owners and are completed in a timely fashion:

 

  • Create a tailored approach and plan to transition using both NTT DATA and industry benchmarks and guidelines.
  • Integrate tools and automation into transition solutions to accelerate and optimize the overall solution.
  • Relationship, Expectation, and Communications Management
  • Resource Planning, Identification, Orientation, and Training;
  • Infrastructure Readiness and Work Environment Set-Up;
  • Engagement/Delivery, Transition, and KAP Management
  • Providing coaching and guidance to all individuals supporting the Transition project, including Delivery Executives down to consultants;
  • Providing oversight of the overall Transition Management and ensure that all the commitments made in the Statement of Work are completed;
  • Assisting the delivery manager in educating the client on Transition process and critical success factors for successful completion of Transition;
  • Directing the development of transition processes tailored from the appropriate Framework(s) to meet an engagement’s specific requirements;
  • Directing the development of knowledge acquisition plans and providing guidance/direction to Application Managers to execute successful Knowledge Acquisition;
  • Providing guidance to the delivery management team in defining/implementing the appropriate Framework(s) processes;
  • Supporting the delivery manager in providing reporting and measurement to the client;
  • Communicating/coordinating with all locations within the global delivery team to ensure that milestones are met as per plan;
  • Reviewing recommendations for AMO tools implementation and involving tool support team for effective and efficient implementation;
  • Ensuring that productivity, acceptance, change, issue and risk management processes are effectively followed during the Transition;
  • Supporting the delivery management team in driving Transition and Outsourcing awareness/education around the global delivery model;
  • Producing weekly status report on Transition for use by delivery manager to report to the client, and regional and business line(s) management;
  • Escalating issues to senior management (region, business line, or supporting organizations) that could adversely impact the engagement, client relationship, or successful completion of the Transition project
  • Directing the development of all defining documents through proper utilization of resources assigned to the engagement;
  • Seamlessly disengaging by ensuring all activities defined in the Transition Manager's Work Assignment have been completed or assigned appropriate ownership

 

Travel: Need to travel 5 days a week during the transition period to ensure successfull transition and represent NTT DATA leadership to lead the team towards the success

 

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT leadership as a Project/Program Manager, Delivery Manager or Transition Manager
  • Experience managing at least 1 large IT global delivery or Application Outsourcing engagement in a large account or environment.
  • 2+ years experience with an IT Consulting and Solution provider
