NTT DATA Services currently seeks a IT Asset Services Specialist to join our team in College Park, Maryland (US-MD), United States (US).



Perform activities as part of the Asset Services Team to manage Configuration Items and inventory to ensure proper accounting of assets, reporting and tracking of software and hardware, and 98% accurate inventory of all Configuration Items (CIs). Implement best practices and creative ideas to improve related workflow and processes for asset/ license/ inventory management. Primary duties are packaging/ un-packaging, inventory management and reporting. Provide support as requested to:


Job Duties

  • Ensure that all asset information is accurate, complete and timely.
  • Maintain the provided database that includes all of the Configuration Items (CIs), including hardware, software, and documents.
  • Use the Client-provided tracking database as the underlying database used to track all of IT assets and software.
  • Manage and maintain hardware spares. Assess the infrastructure and provide recommendations to of critical components whose availability could be increased through the purchase of spares.
  • Manage and maintain levels of these hardware spares necessary to maintain the environment.
  • Manage all IT Assets, including inventory in the B2 Cage storage area.
  • Update the asset management database within 5 days of receiving new assets.
  • Prepare assets for shipping to customers in support of the Central IT inventory process.
  • Decommission or remove assets from the Client production environment when assets have been identified by the Government as no longer needed or no longer in use.
  • Return the decommissioned or removed assets to the Government.
  • Establish and maintain a Definitive Software Library (DSL).
  • for supported systems including a complete, accurate database that details the maintenance agreement identification number, expiration date of maintenance coverage, software covered under the agreement, vendor point-of-contact information, point-of-contact information, maintenance coverage type, and any other useful data.
  • Provide weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly reports as needed.
  • Perform Warranty/Repair management for all IT Configuration Items (CIs).
  • Maintain up-to-date, comprehensive information on warranty/repair of all IT assets.
  • Use the provided tracking database as the underlying database used to track all of IT assets repair/warranty records.
  • Document all warranty calls including subsequent documentation of what happened to repair as part of warranty/repair history, and this shall include the date and the name of the Vendor IT support personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as requested which may include performing physical inventory, reporting for other service areas, and implementation of IT projects.
  • Be willing and available to work in excess of 40 hour per week, as required.
  • Provide after hours and on-call support as needed.


Must Have

  • 1-3 year of IT Asset Management experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience managing and tracking the licenses and maintenance support renewals of all hardware and software.
  • 1-3 years’ experience ensuring all hardware and equipment that is assessable, is properly tagged, tracked, and inventoried per the Client property control processes.



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Typically requires 4 years relevant experience without a Degree or Undergraduate Degree and at least 1 year relevant experience
