NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Network Security Engineer to join our team in College Park, Maryland (US-MD), United States (US).



The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for creating and troubleshooting policies in an enterprise environment, creating and managing deployment tasks for upgrades and configuration changes, system and application performance/health monitoring, configuration changes, installing and configuring new hardware/software, maintaining security, troubleshooting, and system performance tuning. 

The Network Security Engineer will work as a member of the team to administer McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) as well as point product modules such as Virus Scan Enterprise (VSE), Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS), Rogue System Detection. The successful candidate will have experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO). 

Perform security functions to maintain and elevate the client’s security posture and implement proactive security best practices. Perform individually and as part of a team the following duties:

  • Patch management and vulnerability management as a security practice to proactively prevent the exploitation of vulnerabilities that exist within an organization. Develop and manage a security patch and vulnerability management program.
  • Assist the client in the management of access. This includes, but is not limited to, system interconnections, account privileges, and access to the data center and computer rooms.
  • Manage the clients anti-malware system and responds to incidents according to the clients policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that perimeter and internal network devices are operated and maintained in accordance with the client, and federal policy.
  • Coordinate security activities with other Vendors that may manage network devices for the client
  • Ensure operation and configuration of systems and network in such a way that unauthorized devices are not allowed to be connected to the network.
  • Monitor the security state of the servers, workstations, and infrastructure devices is an important part of the continuous authorization of the IT systems. Monitor the security state of all assets included within the scope of this contract. Monitoring should meet the clients and Federal IT security requirement.
