NTT DATA Services currently seeks a PM Operations Lead to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina (US-SC), United States (US).



The Operations Lead will be an integral part of Cognosante’s South Carolina Multi-Vendor Integrator (SC MVI) Team.  The Operations Lead will be responsible for implementing and managing operations management functions as part of a large multi-vendor healthcare IT project, including Service Management, Service Level Management, Application Management, Change Management, Events Management, Release Management and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity. The Operations Lead will be part of a Project Management Office (PMO) team supporting the successful procurement, implementation, certification, and operation of a modular enterprise Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). The Operations Lead will work with team members, vendors, and client users to establish, document, and communicate operations management processes and procedures.  The candidate will work directly with contracted vendors, business users and the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) client to provide recommendations to the project team on project issues, risks and observations.  


Operations Lead responsibilities include:

Managing service operations strategy according to established processes
Managing and enhancing service operations processes
Leveraging the current documentation repository for project and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) documentation
Maintaining and enhancing enterprise operational process documentation and be accountable for effective execution
Executing operations management processes and policies for issues related to the enterprise system and modular solutions implemented by vendors
Reviewing and recommending updates to client management policies, procedures, tools, and standards to align with the new multi-vendor environment
Developing an enterprise system knowledge base using incident and problem information
Coordinating system incident management reporting, tracking, prioritization, escalation, and resolution activities with program and end-user community


General responsibilities include:

Interfacing daily with the client and vendor(s)
Leading, attending and contributing to project meetings with client and vendor(s)
Developing client deliverables in accordance with project requirements and company documentation standards
Providing recommendations to the client on critical business and project decisions
Ensuring that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicable
Creating and sustaining a culture that encourages high performance of individuals and teams
Employee is expected to undertake any additional duties as they are assigned by their leader.


Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of work experience or 9+ years of work experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5 years of Medicaid IT system experience
Minimum 3 years healthcare IT project management experience
Minimum 2 years leading a team of 3 people or more

Travel:  50-75% (if not located in specified location)

Degree: e.g. Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience


Nice to Have; (But not a must)

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
