We are currently seeking a Senior VTC/VoIP Administrator to join our team in Falls Church, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Position General Duties and Tasks:

- Unified communications support as part network and communication services

- Integrate real-time communications services like instant messaging, telepresence, TelePresence MSE, IP telephony, video conferencing, Integrated Voice Recognition (IVR), VoIP Call Recording, System Paging, Text-to-Speech, Jabber, TelePresence Video Communication Server Expressway

- Data access and sharing with non-real time communication services such as unified messaging (voicemail, email, SMS)

- Video and video teleconferencing (VTC) installation, operations, and maintenance services

- Design, install, integrate and manage existing video and video teleconferencing systems (desktop video teleconferencing (DVTC) and room-based video teleconferencing) as well as support all upgrade activities and improvements to those systems, including scheduling platforms, user endpoints and multipoint bridging and gateway devices

- Video and VTC operations and maintenance services including, operating and maintaining the video and DVTC management systems and infrastructure; capacity and availability monitoring; performance tuning; troubleshooting, and testing associated equipment; adding, modifying, deleting video, and DVTC accounts; deploying video and DVTC services upgrades; integrating video and DVTC capacities into other systems (e.g., VoIP teleconferencing, enterprise infrastructure services); protocol standardization and interoperability; conferencing capabilities; coordinating service interruptions and outages; responding to incidents and outages; taking corrective actions to resolve the issue; and escalating issues that cannot be resolved

- Knowledge wall and video display integration, operations, and maintenance support, including engineering, installing, and programming video display systems; conducting routine operational tests and fault isolation on video display systems; optimizing system operation and resource utilization; providing assistance to users in using systems; maintaining and operating a wide variety of video display equipment to include video feed devices, channel and layout controls, audio and video display components; and continuously monitoring all component equipment and taking corrective action to restore operational readiness

- Voice installation, operations, and maintenance services, including configuring and managing automated call distribution systems, voice telecommunications support; telephony technical support (e.g., plain old telephone service (POTS), and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP)); operating and maintaining call managers and voice infrastructure; capacity and availability monitoring; performance tuning; troubleshooting, and testing associated equipment; adding, modifying, deleting voice accounts; deploying telephony and VoIP services upgrades; integrating voice capacities into other systems (e.g., desktop video, video teleconferencing, enterprise infrastructure services); protocol standardization and interoperability; conferencing capabilities; coordinating service interruptions and

 outages; responding to incidents and outages; taking corrective actions to resolve the issue; and escalating issues that cannot be resolved

- Video and video teleconferencing (VTC) installation, operations, and maintenance services, including design, install, integrate and manage existing video and video teleconferencing systems (desktop video teleconferencing (DVTC) and room-based video teleconferencing) as well as support all upgrade activities or improvements to those systems, including scheduling platforms, user endpoints and multipoint bridging and gateway devices. Video and VTC operations and maintenance services including operating and maintaining the video, and DVTC management systems and infrastructure; capacity and availability monitoring; performance tuning; troubleshooting, and testing associated equipment; adding, modifying, deleting video, and DVTC accounts; deploying video, and DVTC services upgrades; integrating video, and DVTC capacities into other systems (e.g., VoIP teleconferencing, enterprise infrastructure services); protocol standardization and interoperability; conferencing capabilities; coordinating service interruptions and outages; responding to incidents and outages; taking corrective actions to resolve the issue; and escalating issues that cannot be resolved

- Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and Video Streaming installation, operations, and maintenance services, including system design employing an enterprise perspective; addressing scalability, flexibility, security and service capabilities

- Multicast stream to support unlimited number of local viewers; integrate with DME (Digital Media Engine) to support video streaming for mobile users (iPad/iPhone/Android); centralize video management systems to deliver live and on-demand video streams with managing video content, user access and permissions; integrate with DME (Digital Media Engine) to provide transcoding and transformation feature to prevent overloading and congestion on the network; and video-on-Demand services using networked content storage and allow recorded content to be accessed locally

 

Must Have Skills/Years Experience:

- 6+ years experience of Unified Communications Install/Support

- 6+ years experience of Voice/Video/VTC/VoIP Install/Support / Expert

- 6+ years experience of IPTV/Video Streaming Install/Support / Expert

- Undergraduate degree
