The role is to have the overall responsibility of financial operating procedures and financial reporting process through coordination with the Shared Services, Local Accounting teams across countries, Revenue, FP&A, internal audit and business teams. The position should provide support to GBSS head/HQ Finance team with timely and accurate Financial results and Analysis to be provided to the Management.


Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end closing consolidation, and prepares appropriate financial statements
• Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations
• Coordinates with foreign entities’ accountants for timely financial reporting
• Assists with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
• Assists with drafting and implementing corporate policy
• Knowledge/ understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as per IFRS
• Understanding of Transfer pricing/intercompany invoicing regulations
• Understanding of Semi-annual and Annual financial statements filings
• Strong knowledge of reconciliation procedures and practices for all balance sheet accounts.
• Acts as liaison between Onshore and Shared Services team in the resolution of process related issues
• Develop a culture of continuous improvement and standardization of operations and systems.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities and able to work well in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Effectively communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
• Ability to manage HR related matters for the direct reports and teams; including interviewing, hiring, compensation planning, ongoing feedback/coaching and formal performance management (e.g., mid-year and year-end reviews)
• Ability to manage the daily operations and activities of the team and ensure all KRAs are met.
• Analyze and resolve complex or difficult problems presented by subordinates, and escalate appropriately to the senior management.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned


Position Qualification and Competency Requirements
• Strong hands on General ledger transactions and consolidation experience
• Bachelors/Masters Degree in Accounting from a good University. Preference will be given to candidates with professional qualification like CA, CPA, ICWA etc.
• 12 + years of experience with at least 3 years in a senior level position with similar role in a large multinational corporation
• Knowledge of SAP and BPC for consolidation is a must
• Proactive with good communication, leadership & people management skills
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Persuasive, encouraging and motivating with Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
• Should be a Good Team Player & Process driven person.
• Strong training/facilitation skills with experience in developing instructional materials and documentation.
• Service minded leader with extensive background in leading and developing large cohesive teams.
• Must demonstrate a strong commitment to integrity, internal controls and data privacy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage toward optimal utilization of resources, Ability to embrace ambiguity and be an effective change leader.
• Self-starter, ability to work independently, using excellent business judgment as well as in a team oriented and collaborative environment is essential
• Candidates with experience of working with multiple geographies would be given preference
