We are currently seeking a Systems Architect/Deputy Program Manager - Remote to join our team in Hanscom AFB (REMOTE), Massachusetts (US-MA), United States (US).

Position's General Duties and Tasks:

In this role you will perform two functions, those of the Lead Systems Architect/Engineer and the Deputy Program Manager. As the Lead Systems Architect/Engineer you will be responsible for working with the Government client to set the technical direction for the Program as well as providing technical guidance to other Systems Architect/Engineers that are part of the Agile Development Teams. Working with them you will oversee the architectural development for various software initiatives. In the role of Deputy Program Manager, you will assist in the management, direction, administration, quality assurance and leadership of the program. You will help define resource plans and from a technical perspective and assist in on-boarding resources to the program. As the Deputy Program Manager you will also serve as the single point of contact, and will be the authorized interface, to the government client’s Contracts Officer (CO), Contracts Officer Representative (COR) and the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) in the Program Manager’s absence.

 

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • System Architecture Design: Develop and define the overall architecture of the software systems, ensuring they meet both technical and business requirements. You will create high-level designs and provide technical standards to include software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
  • Requirements Analysis: You will work with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and other engineers, to gather and analyze requirements while ensuring those requirements are thoroughly understood and translated into a robust architectural framework.
  • Technical Leadership: You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development teams. You will ensure that the development process follows the architectural plan and stands and resolve any technical challenges that arise during the development process.
  • System Integration: You will oversee the integration of various system components and third-party systems to ensure the seamless communication and functionality across different parts of the systems.
  • Security: You will incorporate security best practices into the system architecture that ensures the system complies with all relevant security standards and regulations.
  • Program Management: Assist the Program Manager in overseeing and managing the overall program scope, timeline, and budget. Ensure all the team delivers all projects within the program on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Risk Management: Work with the various teams to identify potential risks and issues within the program and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and monitor the performance of the program, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Contract Management: Assist in the management of the contract, ensuring compliance with all contractual requirements.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience as Systems Architect/Engineer or similar role in a software development environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project/program management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading/managing teams of 20 or more personnel.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance prior to start.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in achieving excellent quality assurance goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills presenting material to senior executive personnel
  • Ability to organize, direct, and manage operation support functions involving multiple complex and inter - related projects and / or tasks.
  • Experience managing IT contract personnel at multiple technical domains and locations.
  • Experience with public, private and/or hybrid cloud environments

 

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $138,780 - $321,250. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
