NTT DATA Services currently seeks a HR Sr. Manager to join our team in Herndon, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).



The Sr. Human Resource reports directly to the Director of Human Capital. The HR Sr. Manager will develop and maintain an understanding of business strategies, vision and challenges while proactively considering the needs of the business, and responding with appropriate human capital strategies, programs, and processes that align with business unit goals.


Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Serve as a strategic business partner to assist senior management on performance management, legal compliance, employee relations, compensation planning, employee development, and the administration of company policies and programs
• Manage a small team of HR specialists to execute the company’s HR functions
• Coordinate effectively with other departments, including programs/service delivery, recruiting, accounting, contracts, legal, quality, and resource management.
• Ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations governing FMLA, USERRA, New Hire Reporting and federal government contract compliance (i.e. Affirmative Action, EEO, VETS, Service Contract Act, etc.)
• Manage employee relations and be actively involved in annual performance review process, policy development and terminations
• Investigate employee relations issues and recommended corrective action
• Participate in contract phase-ins to include staffing and review of Service Contract Act Compliance
• Lead HR initiatives in policy design, HRIS implementation, HR workflow development, and compliance reporting
• Provide proactive coaching and training of employees and managers
• Identify and escalate HR and legal issues
• Participate during acquisition and due diligence activities, as required


Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 8-10 years of relevant HR professional experience
• 5 years of management experience supporting HR functions in a 500-2,500 employee company
• 3-5 years of experience with a federal contractor, preferably a mid-size organization (500-Experience in Employee relations and performance management)


Preferred Certifications:





• Attention to detail and strong organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees, peers, and senior management
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), Adobe, and document management systems
