We are currently seeking a Vmware ESX Engineer to join our team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job Responsibilities include: 


  • Will review multiple systems and identify potential or existing problems and use these skills to effectively address these issues
  • Coordinate scheduling and deployment of patches and compliance updates for large number of servers using supported systems
  • Collaborate with technical support professionals from numerous teams in a fast-paced results driven environment
  • Will work independently on multiple projects/technologies/security and compliance efforts to drive them to completion
  • Identify and communicate preventative measures to reduce future incidents
  • Create and maintain technical written documentation related to architecture changes, troubleshooting both OS (Linux and/or Windows) and Infrastructure (vCenter)


Basic Qualifications:


  • 5 plus years of experience with Vmware clustered technologies (high availability, DRS, VMFS, Vmotion, V2V migrations, snapshots, templates)


Preferred Skills:


  • Familiarity with storage and backup technologies and its integration with virtual machines in a shared clustered environment (SAN, NAS, Netapp, VADP, NFS, SMB)
  • Understands capacity management in a virtual environment and has experience using tools to track (thin provisioning, usage vs allocation, vROPS
  • Working knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud architectures and the capabilities and challenges involved with their implementation in cloud environment
  • Understanding of web and application server technologies and how they work together to create a functioning stack (Apache HTTPD, Tomcat, Nginx, IIS)
  • Ability to perform queries on large datasets to analyze and interpret into meaningful information ( SQL, Splunk)
  • Advanced Excel data analysis and manipulation skillset (vlookup, match/index, array formulas, pivot)
  • Knowledge of web services, API gateways and application integration development and design

Job Responsibilities include:


  • Responsible for setting, prioritizing, and evaluating the work generated by a software Scrum team in order to ensure impeccable features and functionality of the product.
  • Product management with a strong technical background who is focused on the more technical aspects of the product.
  • Work closely with the Engineering team and the Solution Leads of the platform/organization in an Agile iterative delivery model for building Domain Driven Microservices/API based technical SOA products
  • Create the Epics and User Stories using Gherkins format aligned with Behavior Driven Development (BDD); own the Product backlog and ensure Epics/Stories are aligned with Product Execution Roadmap
  • Be an effective storyteller for the product vision/roadmap, knowledge broker, conflict resolver and effective escalator
  • Strategic responsibility for driving the development of products
  • Work with the business teams, as applicable, and understand the requirements from business, secure sign offs from Business stakeholders as needed for product specifications
  • Partner with Solution Leads and create solution flows diagrams and high level systems diagrams
  • Analyzes business and user needs, documents requirements, and revises existing system challenges both from an operations as well as solutions perspective.
  • Creates / delivers correspondence, presentations, and other materials for end user training.
  • Interacts with clients, internal and external, acting as a key liaison between business and technology areas.
  • Oversees product performance and collaborates on future system enhancements.


Basic Qualification:


  • 5 plus years of experience working in Agile methodologies and in Scrum Teams
  • 5 plus years of experience in Financial Services
  • 5 plus years of experience in Digital technologies, Service Oriented Architecture, Distributed Systems Integration, Services based API driven products management and engineering
  • 3 plus years of experience working with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodology
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education
