NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Mechanical Technician to join our team in Little Creek, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

 

 

NTT DATA Services Federal Government Inc., is seeking a professional and motivated qualified Mechanical Technician to support a team designated to oversee the management of program related services in support of the Dry Combat Submersible and Dry Deck Shelter programs located in Little Creek, Virginia. The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for providing onsite hands on maintenance, troubleshooting and technical expertise to meet all program specific requirements. To be part of the NDFG team is a great opportunity. You would be part of a Winning Team that works together in support our Government’s needs. This position is a customer-facing role.

 

Responsibilities:
-Provide necessary Mechanical/Technical support while working alongside other Government agencies on common project deliverables
-Installation and testing of advanced submarine technology
-Evaluation of specific deficiencies and sustainability of Submarine/Submersible systems and components to include U.S. Navy quality assurance programs

 

Education
-High School Diploma or GED

 

Experience
-4+ years relevant experience without a degree
-1+ year relevant experience with an Undergraduate Degree

 

Specific Skills
-2+ years of experience with U.S. Navy Submarines or Submersible platforms
-2+ years of experience with Submarine Mechanical and Electrical systems or components
-2+ years of experience with Electrical or Mechanical systems
-Must currently have a Secret Clearance
-Must be a US Citizen

 

Desired Skills
-Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
-Knowledge of Submersibles
-Experience with Supply Chain or Inventory Management
-Preferred Military experience
-Knowledge of U.S. Navy Quality Assurance program
-Coxswain qualifications
-Equipment operating skills/certificates

Physical  Requirements
-Lifting heavy objects may be required
-Must be able to work in a warehouse/office workspace
-Must be able to work in small spaces
-Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
-Must be able to embark, operate, and maintain test support watercraft and experimental vessels in the Open Ocean or restricted waters to support test
