NTT DATA is seeking a dynamic Medical Device Digital Transformation & Innovation Leader to grow our Life Sciences practice. This is a US based role which can be performed remotely from any U.S. location, preferred time zone CST or EST.  Travel up to 25% may be expected as restrictions are lifted.


The Life Sciences industry is being disrupted by new digital-first technologies and business models with a patient-first approach, and we are at the heart of this massive industry transformation. We provide state-of-the-art digital technology and transformation expertise. The Medical Device Digital Transformation & Innovation Leader will be responsible for strategic digital advisory to our clients and subsequently take ownership for the delivery and execution of digital transformation initiatives.


Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategic Executive Relations: Work with the largest Life Sciences organizations who rely on NTT DATA Services as their trusted advisor to help them successfully execute their digital transformation
  • Digital Transformation Roadmaps: Help customers translate their business objectives into digital strategies
  • Digital Transformation Expertise: Apply digital transformation expertise and consulting/execution management skills to help Life Sciences leaders from strategy to execution
  • Life Sciences Journey and Customer Experience: Find new and innovative ways to meet the needs of Life Sciences stakeholders, from engineers to clinicians to patients and caregivers and develop solutions that transform the experience


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Business Consulting – Healthcare / Life Sciences industry
  • Minimum of 5 years consultative experience in Medical Device Customer Solutions and Strategies


Preferred Skills:

  • Services/Consulting industry experience working in a customer facing role
  • MBA / MS / PhD / MD
  • Prior experience engaging clients and senior team members in Strategy Roadmaps and Customer Experience in Life Sciences
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical / medical device business process, from manufacturing to supply chain to (compound) product development and current industry challenges
  • Knowledge of business and reference architecture concepts, notably across Life Sciences and Medical Devices, including yet not limited to technical frameworks such as TOGAF and industry framework such as Manufacturing 4.0, Pharma 4.0, and FDA submission processes for Life Sciences.  Familiarity with leading software solutions (ERP, QMS, Warehousing, 3PL, and automation) and how they apply to support the business of Life Sciences organizations
  • Skilled in pre-sales and solutions process, including drawing from and creating client facing content along with tactical detailed content to showcase IT solutions related to industry challenges; this will include developing thought leadership ready for publication and interaction with the industry analyst and advisory community
  • Skilled in facilitation related to storyboarding, solutioning, and business SWOT analysis for using IT to solve for and capitalize on industry opportunities that stretches the gamut of business, application, data, infrastructure, and process automation
  • Ability to personally draft proposal, statement of work, and contract narratives related to industry trends and challenges along with approaches to support improvements using IT, leveraging both the written word and in-person storytelling and being able to present multiple options for a range of services that might encapsulate client requirements
  • Ability to collaborate in a matrixed organization as a self-starter and play the role of point for a client, taking on the client perspective of what an IT solution should feel like from an implementation and operational perspective, including experience with estimating lifecycle programs; considered expert in presentation, influence and persuasion abilities.  This would include defining solution strategies and coordinating the efforts of various internal organizations to develop technology solutions that meet client needs
