NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Mid-Level 508 SME to join our team in McLean, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Familiarity/knowledge of basic HTML/XHTML coding and CSS
  • A minimum of 2 years of Section 508/Accessibility testing and a Section 508 Trusted Tester Certification at the 3.x standard or higher or
  • 2 to 4 years of functional quality testing (FQT) or
  • 2+ years of web architecture software development

 

Education

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

 

Communication/Organizational Skills

  • The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The candidate must have excellent organizational skills (i.e., time management, collaboration, planning, requires minimal supervision, etc.)

 

Preferred Additional Qualifications

2+ Years’ experience with automation testing in a dev/ops or other continuous integration (CI) environment – preferably in a DHS Environment.

HTML/XHTML/ARIA coding or Software Development Experience

Knowledge/experience with implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 1.0 or higher

Knowledge and experience with designing or testing user interfaces (UIs) for User Experience (UX)/Usability best practice

Knowledge and experience with the following Section 508 testing tools: Web Accessibility Toolbar (WAT), Microsoft Inspect, Web Accessibility Favelets (WAF), Accessible Name & Description Inspector (ANDI), Color Contrast Analyzer (CCA), Adobe Acrobat DC Accessibility Features.

 

Job Expectations

The candidate will be expected to:

Secure the most current Section 508 Trusted Tester Certification within 60 days of hire

Provide Section 508 testing oversight (sample testing) for multiple applications under development at USCIS and provide full Section 508 Testing/Analysis as needed

Provide support to USCIS technical teams for integrating Section 508 compliance effectively throughout the USCIS Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and in an agile manner
