NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Project Manager - PMO to join our team in Montgomery, Alabama (US-AL), United States (US).




The PMO Project Manager will lead the Project Management Office for a Design Development and Implementation of multiple MMIS modules in the Medicaid Enterprise strategy. The Project Manager will be responsible for performing, delegating and managing the activities within the project team, working closely with direct business partners and vendor teams. He/she will actively participate in the development and delivery of program and quality management services and associated deliverables.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’+ experience specifically managing large-scale MITA and\or MMIS project initiatives in a government environment, which are particularly related to Federal and State regulations and initiatives affecting Medicaid
  • Minimum 5 years’+ experience in a formal or informal leadership role related to IT project
  • Managed three (3) or more projects with teams of greater than three (3)
  • Minimum 3 years of MMIS system requirements development
  • Minimum 1 year+ performing procurement work (developing RFIs/RFPs, vendor selection and evaluation, etc.)
  • Experience with state contract management


Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification or willingness to achieve certification within 9 months of employment
  • Exposure to health care or human services industry domain
  • Experience with state IT system procurement process
  • Must be a team player and a consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, flexible "can-do" attitude, and a results-driven commitment to success
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Experience with communications and presentations to executive management
  • Experience with contract administration and vendor management
  • Certification experience
  • Strong leadership aptitude to foster a positive work environment that considers the dynamics of physical, social, psychological, and environmental factors
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build client rapport and develop/discipline/reward employees
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and change



  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
