We are currently seeking a Computer Technician / Help Desk Support to join our team in Norfolk, VA, this position will require daily onsite presence.  This position formulates and defines general system maintenance scope and objectives. Under general supervision, provides the following duties: maintaining, administrating, backup, restore, reporting, and general maintenance of a specific Hardware Operating System or Software Application. Responsible for managing all access accounts and role level privileges associated and provides Help Desk support during core business hours and on-call 24/7 as defined by the client to all active and prospective users.  Must possess strong interpersonal, oral, and written skills and must be able to communicate effectively with military, civilian, and contractor personnel at all levels.  Familiar with Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel. The Computer Technician will support on-call and after duty hours (including supporting operationally critical support through holidays and staff absences, after-hours, on-call, and incident response support services).  We will use a common access telephone number and published email address which will also be monitored by the Task Lead and/or PM.  The Computer Technician will possess relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:  Operating System/MOS, Win Server, or VMware VSphere.  Supports Two Person Integrity (TPI) requirements, supports Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC), and the Configuration Management Plan.  Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office/Outlook, especially account and profile management; working knowledge of Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of help desk/IT support experience.
  • Currently active Secret security clearance (or higher).
  • 8570 Baseline Certification - IAT Level II (Security+CE or equivalent).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
