NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Construction and Certification Manager Advisor to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

 

 

This individual will provide construction and certification management (oversight) support for the Dry Deck Shelter (DDS) Program. They will work primarily onsite at the Prime Contractor’s facility in Chesapeake VA, participate in the day-to-day execution and project management of Dry Deck Shelter availabilities and modernization periods, will conduct periodic meetings with the Program Manager in Washington DC as well as travel to submarine homeports on a recurring basis.   As the construction and certification manager advisor you will act on behalf of the Program Manager while providing oversight of the work performed during DDS overhauls and modernization efforts. In this capacity you will liaise with the Program Management team, the Navy technical community, planning yard, and the Fleet maintenance and operational experts. This is a customer facing role.

 

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience

 

Experience

Typically requires at least 10 years relevant experience without a Degree; 4+ years relevant experience with Undergraduate Degree; 3+ years relevant experience with Graduate Degree

 

Specific Skills

- 8+ years Project Management experience with Submarine Availability Planning and/or Submarine Availability Execution (can be a culmination of Project Management experience)

- 3+ years’ performing analysis of technical references, drawing and mechanical schematics in support of technical work document development or execution.

- 3+ years’ experience in tracking and forecasting production work using standard project management techniques. Includes experience in identifying critical path work and lagging performance indicators

- Secret clearance required

Desired Skills

- 3+ years’ experience or knowledge of Dry Deck Shelter (DDS), SSGN LOC, or VA Class LOT

- 3+ years’ experience in Deep Submergence System Scope of Certification and/or Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) Quality Assurance Programs

- 3+ years electrical or mechanical experience

- Prior Navy military experience desired

- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook & Project)
