NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Senior Administrative Task Manager to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

 

 

NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Senior Administrative Task Manager in Norfolk, VA who will support the customer in their role as In-Service Fleet Support Directorate, responsible for planning and executing programmed modernization and for coordinating Class maintenance planning and execution sufficient to ensure the continued readiness of surface ship assets. The successful candidate will also be involved in issues beyond the immediate customer and closely support senior leadership and various supporting organizations.

 

Roles and Responsibilities Include:

  • Administrative and communications support to all staff members. Such support will include, but is not limited to: monitoring and directing telephone and email traffic on behalf of senior staff members; drafting, reviewing, and correcting office correspondence; and monitoring and routing office correspondence. Note, examples of correcting written material might include a “hand-marked letter” that requires interpretation of corrections and electronic editing. Further, this individual shall provide draft correspondence for senior customer members
  • Assist with coordination of flag and staff meetings and functional tasks including but not limited to preparing the staff for the conduct of official meetings, gathering and distributing material in support of meetings, review and editing of meeting materials for correctness and quality, and assisting CNRMC personnel in the conduct of such meetings. Contractor travel may be required to support such meetings. Provide administrative functions, as required, to support CNRMC, including, but not limited to: scheduling, preparation and support of briefs, preparing meeting minutes, and providing general support of all CNRMC functional tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and with personnel from multiple organizations is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work from high-level, limited and evolving guidance in order to produce timely and effective results is highly desirable
  • Must be time and goal oriented and responsible for tracking tasks and reports and monitor to completion.
  • Arranges and coordinates all business travel

The duties and responsibilities of this position require a comprehensive knowledge of department and Company policies and procedures. The responsibilities also require the use of judgment, discretion, confidentiality, initiative, organization skills and the use of care and accuracy. Advanced communication skills are necessary to conduct business in the most effective manner such as phone mail, e-mail, and fax. Must have ability to work with limited supervision and prioritize work to meet customer needs, requiring a high level of organization.

 

This position requires US Citizenship.

 

Education

  • HS diploma or equivalent required; bachelor degree or vocational certification in administrative skills preferred.

 

Experience

  • Typically requires at least 2 years relevant experience without a Degree
  • Minimum 8 years secretarial experience, with exceptional clerical/secretarial and organizational skills, strong vocabulary, spelling and grammar skills.

 

Specific Skills

  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • 5+ years experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office with spreadsheets and presentation software
  • 2+ year experience with populating databases and portal management

 

Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Navy Maintenance tools and databases is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks
