We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas (US-KS), United States (US).

The Desktop Support Analyst (Technician) will be responsible for performing various managed client services for a strategic customer. These services include: IMAC, Break Fix, Desk Side Support, etc.  This role combines strong technical skills with an emphasis on delivery high level of customer service.

 

This position will be a Client based position.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of imaging and troubleshooting Windows Desktops/Laptops, primarily Windows 7 and 10, but may also include earlier versions. Experience troubleshooting Windows in an Enterprise environment is a must.
  • Knowledge of COTS Software including Microsoft Office 2010 and 2016, Office 365, Adobe Acrobat. Customer uses Golden Image and tech will be expected to t-shoot the OS/App environment completely.
  • Knowledge of Dell Laptops and PC’s.
  • VOIP Support – local phones and digital phone config
  • Testing monthly MS Patches for Servers and coordinating testing /promotion across other locations
  • General understanding of infrastructure technologies such as: Windows server 2003 – 2012, SCCM, enterprise-level Anti-Virus and data encryptions, Bitlocker, CDP software, Active Directory.
  • Work with the Desktop Engineering team to proactively identify issues with Dell hardware and/or software.
  • Understanding of PC Reimaging processes and procedures, and experience with annual refresh programs.
  • Work within the NTT DATA Ticket Management System, accurately documenting all work performed
  • Meet or exceed all prescribed SLA’s
  • Asset Management/tracking
  • The ability to manage team tickets within a ticketing system and within SLA’s, perform triage and escalations
  • Prepare documentation to record and track issue resolutions
  • Proactive problem resolution

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years desktop/technical support experience


 

Additional skills

  • A+ Certification
  • Must have a proven customer service background
  • Knowledgeable of Windows Operating System environment
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow verbal and written technical instructions and scripts
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Physically able to lift and move Enterprise and Client technology hardware in our customer environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Basic customer interaction skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Micro Focus Service Manager is a plus
  • Experience with SCCM Imaging and MDT preferred
