NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Business Analyst (Jr) Remote to join our team in Palo Alto, California (US-CA), United States (US).


  • Analyze business and functional components of the SMART solution through hands on product analysis, interaction with team members and interviews with SMEs and exploratory research;
  • Understand customer base, end users and current advancements in Smart City area;
  • Create product journey maps, service blueprints, use cases, flow diagrams, user stories and other artifacts to facilitate working session discussions;
  • Create of technical specifications, test cases and user manuals;
  • Participate in backlog refinement, grooming and prioritization;
  • Assist in preparing, updating, and review of test plans, test cases, training documentation and other cross functional documentations;
  • Identify and close gaps in the acceptance and the input to the testing activities;
  • Track, update, and interact with the project tracking tool and provide updates to the project management team on project status;
  • Communicate and interact with other teams as projects move through the SDLC to ensure success of various deployments;
  • Stay current on the development efforts, market research and deployments managed and maintained by the business unit.
  • Assist in proofs of concept and/or out-of-the-box configurations to accompany new deployments which supports configuration;
  • Work with the Deployment Support Manager on the design and configuration approach with new modules for post-production maintenance and usage;
  • Document and maintain product Wiki; and
  • Research solutions to automation issues and integrating these into the system.

Required Skills:

  1. 3 years of experience in application development;
  2. 2 years of experience defining application requirements, meeting with users, and validating needs;
  3. 2 years of experience writing use cases, user stories and product specifications;
  4. 2 years of experience writing test plans, test cases, and user documentation;
  5. 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced Agile development environment; and
  6. Bachelor's Degree.

  2. Able to prioritize, work independenty, and has excellent time management skills;
  3. Possess outstanding oral communication skills and is able work effectively with all levels of staff;
  4. Possess outstanding written skills;
  5. Able to flourish in a highly engaging and collaborative, team player style development setting;and
  6. Desire to be a contributor in a best of class product development setting.
