NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Business Solutions Documentation Specialist to join our team in Addison, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).



Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain documentation standards, processes, templates, and publication architecture
  • Partner with business, process owners, technical, project management, and compliance partners to learn and thoroughly understand processes, products, and tools as the end user;
  • Research, write, and publish standard operating procedures, including policies, procedures, process maps, and other supporting documents
  • Document procedures, staffing / process updates in clear and concise language that can be easily followed and understood by the end user
  • Assist in creating documentation to support training initiatives, including procedures and reference guides
  • Interview subject matter experts to translate basic to complex policy, procedure and system documents which may include talking points/scripting to be used both on the job and in training
  • Identify opportunities and recommend improvements to internal processes and procedures
  • Translate systems enhancements and process changes into meaningful and accurate system procedures, learning materials, and communications so staff can efficiently assist customers
  • Gather, prioritize, update, and correct knowledge articles as needed and in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the review and approval process for new and modified documentation
  • Conduct analysis to identify gaps between existing documentation and user’s need
  • Conduct on-going content reviews to ensure knowledge base and support tools are accurate, effective and meet user’s needs
  • Proactively manage prioritized project plan, schedule, deliverable tracking, and status
  • Maintain a record of all documentation, including procedures, process flows, system guides, and other reference materials in the knowledge management system
  • Review and provide the knowledge article reports for management as needed
  • Establish metrics and reporting to communicate value of knowledge solution and resulting usage to leadership team
  • Maintain partnerships with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, accurate and effective documentation that meets the business units’ needs
  • Perform all other duties as needed



Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Experience converting informal communications and documentation into an articulate, concise finished product for publication easy to understand by end user.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a technical writer/curriculum developer
  • Proven documentation experience with one or more Standard Business Writing Methodologies (i.e., Information Mapping)
  • Demonstrated writing, editing and document production skills (has intermediate business writing methodology skills, preferably information mapping)
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and ideas, both verbally and in written form clearly and accurately
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Visio, and Information Mapping
  • Ability to work with every level in the organization
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy
  • Drives for results by thinking and acting tactically and strategically to meet the needs of the business
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to show judgment and initiative to accomplish goals
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with little supervision
  • Committed to service and quality
  • Experience in life insurance and annuities, or be able to quickly learn complex business processes
  • Samples of work will be required


Must Have:

  • 5+ years Technical Writing-MS Office Suite, FrameMaker, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, SnagIt, Twice-Documentation and E-learning
