NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Healthcare Revenue Cycle Business Consultant to join our team. This position requires at least 80% travel, Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Friday.
This role requires healthcare centric revenue cycle consultant who can perform gap analysis, design best practice workflow and recommend transformational strategies for both acute care and ambulatory settings.
This role will have responsibility for delivering high quality Revenue Cycle consulting services in both the acute care and ambulatory settings. Revenue Cycle Consultant will be responsible for aligning the revenue cycle activities, both operationally (workflow) and with customer technologies, insuring integration across all clinical and business units. Candidates must be able to leverage their knowledge of revenue cycle workflows and related regulatory compliance to guide process analysis and workflow design changes. The individual must have a strong background in all aspects of revenue cycle activities, with prior hands on experience in operational processes.
Proficiency required in the following areas: Billing/Accounts, Receivable Claims (paper and electronic submission), Resolution of billing and claim edits, Claims clearinghouse processes and procedure, Follow up on rejections and denials, Initiation of appeals and underpayments, Charge and payment posting, Calculation of managed care manual adjustments, Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
The individual will be responsible for the following:
- Develop process-driven workflow recommendations for customer engagements which include specific implementation/support engagements
- Ensure benefits realization from the functionality being implemented
- Develop and manage culture change and adoption through organizational design and change management
- Participate in other consulting engagements as assigned
- Effectively communicate with C suite, Board of Directors, Physicians and all levels of staff in customer organization based on engagement requirements
- Stay abreast of healthcare regulatory requirements related to Revenue Cycle
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint to create and deliver presentations and Word to compose white papers on Revenue Cycle related topics
- Willing to travel up to 80% to be present at customer site locations, as needed
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of practical, hands on experience in an operational role in healthcare in Billing / Accounts Receivable, Claims, Denials Management, Patient Access modules, and Scheduling
- Minimum of 5 years of practical, hands on experience in an operation role of creating and supporting revenue capture implementation and optimization for clinical data flow to Billing/Accounts Receivable
