NTT DATA Services currently seeks a North American Manufacturing Industry Solutions Lead to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).



Job Summary


NTT DATA Services is looking for an experienced leader with deep experience in the Manufacturing Industry. This individual should be able to lead development of market relevant, next-gen solution offerings on Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, IIoT, Industrial Analytics and Big Data and Operations Technology. This individual should also be able to incubate and nurture partner alliances, foster market development and sales of our Industry Solutions products and services. The candidate will work closely with teams within the Manufacturing Business Unit as well as numerous teams within the organizational eco-system to drive NTT DATA’s growth in the North American Manufacturing Industry while putting customers first.

The individual should be able to work in a vibrant cross-cultural environment across different locations in US. This person should have a solid customer presence and should be capable of leading CxO discussions and nurturing relations with decision makers.

Daily Responsibilities



  • Support a business and offering development strategy to grow the Industry Solutions business across North America
  • Work with customers to incubate and proliferate Smart Operations, Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Operations Technology, Industrial Big Data and Analytics use cases, proof of concepts, projects and offerings.


Solutions and Delivery Enablement 


  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of:
  • NA Manufacturing Industry trends impacting the customer base (e.g. Industrial IoT, Operations Technology, Cybersecurity, SAP Leonardo, Big Data & Analytics, etc.)
  • Our offerings and services that help Manufacturing leaders digitally transform their business
  • Our thought leadership relevant to our customer’s success
  • Competitive landscape
  • Direct and influence acquisition and development of Manufacturing Industry Solutions IP

Sales Responsibilities 

  • Sustain and develop a multi-million-dollar revenue target across the manufacturing industry
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to execute on pipeline building activities
  • Creating client specific sales presentations and strategies to move opportunities to close
  • Driving and orchestrating solution presentations and preparation and delivery of presales demonstrations
  • Estimate and proposal creation and delivery (written and oral participation with engagement team)
  • Oversee Statement of Work development


  • Direct and drive marketing programs for brand development, market awareness, market positioning and demand generation involving media, analysts and active participation in the Manufacturing community
  • Drive Industry Solutions marketing content creation for effective scale across regions
  • Participate and provide thought leadership for marketing activities and events


Channels and Alliances 

  • Coordinate and team aggressively with Product Development, Marketing, and Sales teams across North America to achieve overall business objectives
  • Drive sales community awareness and training on Manufacturing solutions
  • Understand the NTT DATA organization structure and who is best positioned to support market penetration both at Industry Solutions and Manufacturing BU level
  • Build solid working relationship with internal key players like GTM team, various Competencies (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Analytics, etc.), Delivery organization, etc.
  • Drive collaborative GTM planning and execution with internal partners 


Business Leadership Experience

The candidate should be a senior Manufacturing Industry expert with a deep understanding of consulting to industry executives. The candidate should understand the industry, the client perspective, the technology, the financials, and the business. The candidate should be a great client communicator and mentor and leader to his/her team. 


  • Operating at a high level of autonomy and latitude in meeting objectives within stated guidelines and policies
  • Defining the strategy and driving investment decisions to help grow an offering and practice
  • Growing a technology services business through strategy and sales contribution
  • Establishing a presence in a target market and in the minds of key clients through client interactions and executive presence
  • Business development, marketing, and complex channel management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, especially strong influence and negotiation capabilities
  • Leading personnel activities, including hiring, staffing, skills forecasting and career development
  • Delivering on accountabilities and metrics
  • Specific consulting and delivery experience likely includes:
    • Deep solution expertise in Manufacturing Industry domain
    • Delivering solutions for client organizations through complex solutions with heavy client interaction
    • Strong consulting and project-based background, including assessing and managing the opportunity and risk associated with large-scale, complex projects
    • Guiding and directing leadership teams in developing, producing and promoting solution offerings

Minimum Requirements:


  • 15+ years as a Manufacturing Industry expert with a deep understanding of consulting to industry executives
  • 15+ years relevant technology business leadership experience in areas such as solution sales, creation, delivery and business management.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated people and/or business leadership experience.
  • 10+ years with offshore teams and delivery
