NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Public Cloud Architect (AWS / Azure) (REMOTE POSITION) to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

 

 

 

The NTT Data Cloud Services team is hiring a Cloud Architect to help expand, strengthen and integrate our Cloud Services portfolio. The ideal candidate will have significant skills in architecting enterprise-grade hybrid public cloud solutions based on Microsoft’s Azure and/or Amazon cloud services, and will have exposure and skills with traditional datacenter virtualization, platforms and related technologies to enable the design of hybrid public cloud solutions. This role requires knowledge in the areas of Networking, Storage and Security, Microsoft Public Cloud, Amazon Web Services, virtualization solutions from VMware and Microsoft’s Hyper-V, Linux and Windows. Important to our team and customers is the ability to understand and develop solutions as infrastructure as code (ARM, Cloud Formation), scripting (PowerShell, Bash).

This is a remote position.  Travel is required.

You will play a leading role in the organization’s R&D team responsible for driving technical innovation and direction across the Cloud Services portfolio.  Your responsibilities will include public cloud virtual infrastructure architecture design, platform integration, hybrid design, data center and workload migration, portfolio rationalization, new service capability design, and the evolution of our management toolsets. As a senior technical resource, you will be called upon to present and work with customers. You will also support leadership in building / improving technical expertise across the organization. You will also be called upon to represent our organization in industry technical forums and industry workshops and events.   

You should be an excellent team player, yet capable of working independently, and will be able to manage multiple projects at once. As a senior resource, you will work with very little direction, capable of driving solutions with customers and internally.   You should have a passion for Cloud technology, be self‐driven to stay abreast of technology trends, products, and platforms, and be recognized as an expert in the Cloud industry.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Represent NTT DATA as a cloud expert in industry events and with customers
  • It is essential to be able to Architect a Global Public Cloud Solution for Enterprise Customers that include IaaS, PaaS. This includes a strong understanding of Network Connectivity Requirements for accessibility to Public Cloud Resources from Client Data Centers and remote locations.
  • Be able to understand and articulate modern application architectures, such as multi-tiered segmented Apps, MicroServices, Functions/Serverless, Queues, Scalability, DNS routing, and Automated Recovery.
  • Craft strategy in choosing between and working across leading cloud platforms
  • Articulate advantages, disadvantages and extent of differentiation across NTT DATA’s cloud platform options
  • Drive hybrid solution architecture, strengthening our capabilities and services in the orchestration, automation and targeted service layers.  
  • Understand and champion cloud lifecycle management, help evolve the business to expand this footprint
  • Pursue innovation and improvement across the cloud service portfolio

Experience/Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and architecting large enterprise public cloud solutions.
  • Experience with creating and working with infrastructure as code and automation using tooling and platforms such as ARM, Cloudformation, PowerShell, Bash, Azure automation, OpsWorks, DSC, Chef, Puppet.
  • Experience with Microsoft Public Azure, Amazon Web Services and traditional data center technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure, IaaS, Pass, serverless and managed services.  Must be an expert in networking, storage and identity and management across both the traditional datacenter and cloud
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Desired:

  • 15+ years of traditional data center experience
  • Azure Certified Solution Architect (Exam 70‐534) or AWS Certified Solution Architect
  • Familiarity with automation and script development processes, supported by working knowledge of Power Shell, .Net ,JSON, NodeJS, Python, Java, and/or C# ‐  expertise/experience preferred  
  • Familiarity with complementary cloud migration/cost management tool sets, i.e. Cloud Endure, Cloud Amize, or similar
  • Environment discovery protocols experience preferred 
  • Architect or DevOps certified professional 
  • Experience with automation platforms like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, VMware, vgSphere, vRealize
  • Experience with Microsoft Public Azure, Azure Pack and Azure Stack and related Microsoft technologies (Hyper‐V, ADR, SCCM, SCOM)
  • Experience with OpenStack (Nova, Neutron, Swift, Horizon, Cinder, Heat, Glance)
  • Experience working with DevOps/systems integration, agile development practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure, IaaS, PasS, serverless and managed services.  Must be an expert in networking, compute, storage and identity and management across both the traditional datacenter and cloud
