NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Customer Care Associate to join our team in Quezon City, National Capital Region (PH-00), Philippines (PH).



In this role, you are responsible for:


  • Contacts insurance companies on outstanding insurance claims and denials, resolves payment variances and achieves timely reimbursement
  • Monitors claim status through phone calls, website status or review of insurance documents and correspondence and make recommendations based on the status of the account to bring it towards resolution.
  • Research and review past due bills, clarifying problems relating to patient accounts, such as error in billing, lack of supporting information and determination of primary insurance versus secondary insurance.
  • Makes changes to data for incorrect patient and insurance details and notify billers or hospitals for corrections needed on the claim
  • Utilize necessary resources and navigate systems efficiently to accurately verify eligibility, authorization, claim status and other details to determine corrective action or next step resolution required on the account.
  • Facilitates and initiates appeals to insurance companies for higher payments and/or reversal of denials as needed.
  • Maintain and notate all appropriate information and documentation regarding customer and account status on computer system and provide same to others involved with collections of accounts.
  • Work in a goal-oriented environment to meet production indicators and help achieve the over-all goals of the program.
  • Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness by making recommendations and communicating trends and issues to management.
  • Observes best practice processes in follow-up and customer service activities.


Requirements for this role are:


Education - Associate or Bachelors Degree Graduate

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 1 year prior healthcare revenue cycle required, preferably in a voice account
  • Must be familiar with all insurance payer types.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of US Healthcare system and revenue cycle management
  • Must be able to follow directions and perform work per department standards
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills required
  • Ability to navigate through and utilize various PC applications efficiently
  • Experience in collections and/or claims processing strongly desiredA
