NTT DATA Services is currently looking for a Transition Project Manager for our growing team in Romania.


Role description

The Transition Project Manager is the subject matter expert who is responsible for project management activities required to transition a small to medium size deal for Towers such as Workplace Services Service Desk, Field Services or Endpoint Management.



  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and deliver during PIW/PPW to the customer and other towers
  • Revise the tower project plan, complete activities, and manage the continuous follow up to meet scheduled milestones
  • Gather and document discovery information from customer using presentations, interviews, and conference calls
  • Analyze discovery information and develop gap analysis and pareto charts to identify risks, issue, and assumptions
  • Review SLAs and contracted obligations from the contract and cost model to identify gaps
  • Create Visio diagrams of the tower process flows
  • Write hand-off documents which may include: Standard Operating procedures, Service Matrix, and tower Operations Manuals
  • Document and conduct UAT testing prior to AOS
  • Work closely with Service Management and prepare ITSM workbook with Workplace tower information
  • Conduct weekly meetings with tower Operations and Training
  • Monitor and control the work to ensure that the project remains on track and in control
  • Interface and communicate with transition team and other towers
  • Communicate with the Transition team on project status and RAID updates



  • several years of relevant experience in a Transition/Project Management IT-related role
  • Excellent English Language skills; further language skills nice to have
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience with MS Project and expertise with MS Office suite (Excel macros and pivot tables)
  • Strong teamwork skills across client, supplier and geographically dispersed virtual teams.
  • Understanding of Workplace Services, Service Desk, Field Services and/or Desktop Engineering/Endpoint Management practices, policies and procedures
  • Understanding of project management practices
  • Knowledge of Remedy and ServiceNow is preferred
  • Service Management experience is a plus
  • ITIL certification required
  • Project Management certification or training preferred



Candidate must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time (depending on Covid restrictions).
