The Help Desk Specialist is responsible for providing telephone, email, chat, online, social media and remote diagnostic technical support of desktops, portables, peripherals, printers, projectors, etc. and software custom or off the shelf software - industry or proprietary. Answers questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products. Responsible for following defined policies & procedures. Applies diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct failures. Documents problems in the support solution database for diagnostics and solution implementation.


Responsibilities include:

  • Provides phone and in-person support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories
  • Provides support to users in standard Windows desktop applications
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PCs and printers


This position is open to US citizens only and requires a Position of Public Trust clearance to start.


Required Skills:

  • 6 months - 1 year of experience providing phone and/or in-person support
  • 6 Months - 1 year of experience with standard Windows OS applications and MS Office applications
  • 6 Months - 1 year of customer service experience


Preferred Skills:

  • 6 months experience with a help desk ticketing system
  • 6 months experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software issues
  •  6 months of experience in Tier 1 help desk support
  • Proficient with Windows XP, 7, 8.1, and 10 environments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 2013 and Office 365
  • Experience with troubleshooting common network issues

This is a full-time salaried position with a group company within NTT DATA.  Please note, 1099 or corp-2-corp contractors will NOT be considered.
