We are currently seeking a Cloud Native Data Architect to join our team in 021611, București (RO-B), Romania (RO).

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Native Data Architect to design, implement, and maintain scalable, robust, and modern data architectures for our internal cloud platform. This role involves driving the transition of legacy applications to cloud-native platforms, modernizing data models, and enabling self-service and advanced analytics capabilities for our engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, cloud-native data architectures.

• Conduct workshops with stakeholders to modernize application architectures.

• Consult engineering teams on best practices for scalable data architecture, including data decentralization and modeling for microservices.

• Coordinate selection and integration of data processing and storage solutions (e.g., Spark, RDBMS, NoSQL, time-series DB, Delta Lake, caches).

• Provide guidance on sharing data between application services (e.g., Kafka).

• Design and implement PoCs to validate architectural approaches.

• Lead and document migration of data-intensive legacy applications to the new platform.

• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance are embedded in all solutions.

• Collaborate with data science, analytics, and enterprise architecture teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience as a Cloud Native Data Architect.

• Deep understanding of modern data architectures and cloud-native/distributed environments.

• Proven experience with data lakes, data warehouses, messaging (Kafka), and ETL/integration.

• Hands-on with relational, NoSQL, time-series, and graph databases.

• Experience with data mesh, governance, security best practices (encryption, access control, classification).

• Strong consulting, communication, and documentation skills.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python).

• Fluent in English.
