We are currently seeking a Cloud Native Data Engineer to join our team in 021611, București (RO-B), Romania (RO).

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Native Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain modular and scalable data architectures on a hybrid cloud platform. The role focuses on data modeling, integration, migration, and the development of automated data pipelines and cloud-native applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures (databases, data lakes, data warehouses).

• Implement best practices for data storage, retrieval, and processing.

• Develop cloud-native applications with focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Build and manage applications on Kubernetes using Helm and GitOps workflows.

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data ingestion and transformation from diverse sources.

• Integrate and manage decentralized data products ensuring quality and consistency.

• Lead migration of applications to Spark and Kubernetes-based environments.

• Document POCs, architectural decisions, and lessons learned.

• Collaborate with product owners, engineering, QA, and architecture teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in Cloud Native Data Engineering.

• Hands-on with databases, data lakes/warehouses, messaging (Kafka), and modern ETL/integration tools.

• Proficient in designing/implementing data models and cloud-native architectures.

• Experience with data orchestration (Airflow/Oozie), integration (Nifi, Flume), and data processing (Spark, Flink).

• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitLab), Linux, scripting.

• Proficiency in Java or Scala (or similar).

• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, JIRA).

• Fluent in English.
