We are currently seeking a Junior Business Analyst - Looking For Candidates Local To The Albany, NY area to join our team in Albany, New York (US-NY), United States (US).

Overview of job:

This is a Junior Business Analyst position in our Government Consulting & Advisory (GCA) organization supporting the NYS Department of Health Medicaid Enterprise Systems program and is required to sit onsite in Albany, NY. Upon successful completion of an initial training period including hands-on work, the candidate will work with a team providing client-facing business support services and participating in projects while delivering excellent business value. The Junior Business Analyst will support more experienced business analyst consultants in the planning, execution and delivery of tasks/activities and associated deliverables to our client.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The following describes the high-level responsibilities for the Junior Business Analyst position which includes but is not limited to:

  1. An initial six-month required training and on-the-job learning period overseen by the NTT DATA training coordinator in conjunction with DOH team members. This will require:
  • Completing the training curriculum according to the prescribed training plan
  • Work with designated NTT DATA and DOH staff on assignments that will utilize the skills learned through training to reinforce concepts
  • Prepare and sit for the initial exam for business analyst certification – the IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) - prior to the end of the six-month period
  • Upon successful completion of the initial six-month period and achieving the certification, a full-time assignment will be made to a specific DOH team to perform business analysis tasks under the supervision of a team leader
  1. Business analysis tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
    • Attend business/functional area meetings; serve as scribe for these meetings
    • Support the PMO with management (distribution, archival) of various project documentation
    • Research answers to business user questions
    • Review and provide feedback on requirements documentation
    • Analyze business user needs and create requirements documentation
    • Review and revise or create process documentation
    • Review and provide feedback on vendor analysis and design documents
    • Monitor/track vendor progress on system change requests using vendor status reports
    • Review solution vendor system integration test results
    • Prepare materials for review with state business users
    • Participate in the development of deliverables
    • Interface with state business users and solution vendors
    • Establish relationships with client at the appropriate levels
    • Other duties or initiatives as assigned by program/project leadership

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 1+ years of experience working on projects that required problem solving and analytical skills; ability to break down complex problems and develop solutions

• 1+ years of experience using tools in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio)

• 50% on-site requirement in Albany, NY

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Requested Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience working with a software development organization, State Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, or healthcare/insurance firm supporting enterprise-wide projects

• Customer focus that results in delivering a high-quality service and high client satisfaction

• Innovative thinking, resourcefulness, and agility by leveraging best practices and creativity to get things done

• Team player that knows how to influence and partner by building strong relationships with leaders, peers and clients

 

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $56,520- $70,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
