NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

 

 

 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Collaboration with the OBIM client and development engineers to understand features and establish test strategies, design comprehensive test plans and robust test cases
  • Perform black box SOA and backend testing to support external integration by DHS/OBIM which involves understanding ICA and XML structures required to support the interface.
  • Defect reporting and diagnosis as require to clearly communicate software issues to the development team to support the rapid response and delivery of software solutions.
  • Development of structure test cases that follow the logical processing flow as documented with the business requirements and based on an in-depth knowledge of the technical implementation.  
  • Identify, diagnose, report, and assist developers in resolving defects and verifying bug fixes
  • Develop and maintain automated test cases as outlined in the existing OBIM framework with an persistent focus on further refining and streamlining the automation framework and/or replacing it deemed appropriate by IV&V leadership.   This may involve the need to gain experience with tools such as HP UFT, SoapUI and viable open source tools.
  • Work in an Agile environment using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Guide the client and team by doing requirement analysis and design/architecture reviews.
  • Excellent knowledge of agile methodologies to mentor the teams.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, with a desire to join a fast-paced team and make a big difference
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology Management and 15 years of overall work experience Or Master’s Degree.

Other tasks include:

  • Analyze business requirements of the target system under change and the systems and/or capabilities of the integrating systems external to DHS/OBIM.
  • Participate throughout the design and development process, analyzing features to point out weaknesses or inconsistencies.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably Scrum or Kanban.
  • Mastery of back end test tools like Toad, SoapUI, MySQL and XML Spy.
  • Exposure to tools like JIRA, Confluence and other open source products commonly used to support an agile development lifecycle. 

 

Required Skills:

- Bachelor's Degree

- 3+ years of software QA experience
