We are currently seeking a Senior IT Systems Advisor with Secret clearance to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

The client is currently building a rapid innovation team. The Innovation Engineering team is responsible for transforming the needs, obstacles, and visions of stakeholders into viable solutions. Measurable results will be cultivated by industry evolution, academic improvements, and government modernization efforts.

Day to Day Job Duties:

  • Identify, evaluate, and specify system architecture and high-level design.
  • Provide advice and counsel to project and senior management through broad technical specialization of scientific theory and principals.
  • Individual is well-recognized for mastery of hardware, software, firmware, scientific, and engineering techniques and theories gained through wide experience or specialized development.
  • Research best practices in the areas of strategic planning, Information Technology (IT) investment management and provide expert guidance and recommendations
  • Maintain the client’s Systems Master List which includes facilitating data calls and working with program offices to ensure the information is updated correctly and in a timely manner
  • Maintain the client’s IT Roadmap which is a graphical representation of client’s major IT milestones for the next 24 months. This task involves working with representatives from IT offices throughout the agency to obtain information that is accurate and timely
  • Provide research and/or analysis as needed in support of data calls and meetings, including the coordination of the client’s Data Center Consolidation Initiative data call
  • Develop and maintain a consolidated EA repository, using at least one of client's current EA software packages
  • Produce written technical cost analysis on the architectural impact of proposed IT investments
  • Research and interpret guidance, regulations, and mandates to make recommendations to government personnel
  • Map mission requirements and business problems to re-usable end-to-end technology solutions
  • Provide support and expertise to all facets of the EA Program
  • Prepare briefings on client’s EA for all levels of government
  • Prepare responses to client’s EA Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Provide support to the government liaison with external stakeholder entities, to collect and validate detailed EA data
  • Design and implement the layers of the client’s EA including technology, data, services, and business
  • Publish and provide EA artifacts to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Task Monitor, which include but are not limited to EA Repository and the Chief Information Officer’s (CIO) Quarterly Roadmap.
  • Innovation Design Concepts, Rapid Design Model(s), Iterative Design Thinking, Lean Agile and SAFeExtreme Prototyping methods
  • Increasing Endpoint visibility and capability
  • Develop security access to cloud-connected resources utilizing common Cloud Edge Security concepts (CASB, UCE, SASE, etc.)
  • Work through enterprise-level architectural changes to applications, network designs, infrastructure configurations
  • Expand secured data access to various environments and edge devices
  • Apply customer needs assessment commercial techniques for evaluation of satisfaction measurement/metrics tools
  • Utilize effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations.
  • Direct extensive experience translating legacy desktop configurations into a mobile-connected workforce (Unified Endpoint Management, Mobile Device Management)
  • Deliver minimum viable products (MVP) in condensed timeframes
  • Interpret NIST/ISO Guidelines, DISA STIG configurations, and Cyber Security policies/frameworks such as 800+ NIST 800-53 Security, 800-37 RMF procedures, 800-76 Biometric Standards, 800-63-3 Digital Identify Guidelines and Authentication, 800-14 General Security Principals, FIPS 201-2 , FIPS-140-2 Requirements and Encryption, FIPS199/FedRAMP, and FISMA
  • Have awareness of industry shifts and recently evolved areas of cybersecurity, network design/protocol changes, and application development (NIST Cybersecurity Framework, IPv6, Automation/ML/AI Improvement, Cloud Integration, Zero-Trust Architecture, Low-Code/No-Code Development).

  • Identifies, evaluates, and specifies system architecture and high-level design.
  • Provides advice and counsel to project and senior management through broad technical specialization of scientific theory and principals.
  • Individual is well-recognized for mastery of hardware, software, firmware, scientific, and engineering techniques and theories gained through wide experience or specialized development.
  • Evaluates the applicability of a broad range of information systems issues, including hardware/software integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • MS/MA in Information Technology Management or Business
  • Must have 10+ years’ experience in Federal consulting, with Industry Appropriate Certifications
  • Active secret security clearance (or higher)
