We are currently seeking a Technical Architect & Advisor to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

As the Technology Advisor, you will be responsible for advising clients, stakeholders, and USAID on innovative ways to apply emerging technologies, cybersecurity, and digitization opportunities across the globe. Each stakeholder country, region, and community will have unique requirements that the technology advisor will need to consider in order to help the partner do the most good. Duties include research and technology leadership to help USAID reduce digital inequality and increase access to digital tools that will help their global partner grow by utilizing a more inclusive, reliable, and secure digital ecosystem.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology Field such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, etc
• Twelve (12) years of experience as a technology expert working in the fields of technology, cybersecurity, and/or digitalization programs
• Twelve (12) years of experience within the development field with proven capabilities and experience in a combination of the following areas:
  • Two (2) plus years of experience acting as a technical lead in designing and implementing innovative IT technology, cybersecurity, and/or digitalization capabilities
  • Two (2) plus years of experience as a technical Subject Matter Expert including technical strategic planning, oversight, and reporting
  • Two (2) plus years of experience successfully designing and helping implement innovative technology, cybersecurity, and/or digitalization for the developing world as part of international development efforts
• Eligibility to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills including excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key sector stakeholders, consultants, and other counterparts at the country, regional, community, and local level.
• Ability to communicate complex technical subjects with non-technical stakeholders and development experts
• Navigate complex environments, including diverse cultures, and teams to deliver milestones against agreed-upon timelines
• Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to help lead large teams to overcome technical challenges
• Demonstrated experience working with the USAID, Department of State, and international Governments and international community partners
• Graduate degree
