Our Consulting organization has a proven track record of delivering high-impact business results for clients. We partner with clients to bring industry perspective and deep risk experience to plan, prioritize, and tailor risk programs and technology solutions that address relevant complexity levels and resource requirements across all areas of risk.

The Risk & Compliance Consulting Practice focuses on all the 6 pillars of risk management (financial, credit, operational, technology, reputational, and regulatory), focusing on the people, process and technology across the  business, improving outcomes and driving ROI through our clients’ most challenging initiatives. Our consultants work across industries, bringing expertise in Operational Risk, Credit Risk, Financial Crimes, Fraud Prevention, Info Security, and ERM Frameworks TOM design.


If you enjoy the identification of risk to the business, development of solutions to prevent those risk/maximization of opportunities, and prevention of external, market and internal risk to the business performance via building client strategies, designing the solution, and execution, this role is for you!

The role


NTT DATA is seeking an experienced and established Risk & Compliance Director Consulting Manager who can build immediate credibility with existing relationships with our clients in FSI to drive sale, engagements, and revenue for risk & compliance solutions.   As a Director in this practice, your typical day will include both primary client and internal practice contributions:

Client contributions:

  • Be an advisor to C level global clients embarking on a risk & compliance focused initiative.
  • Develop, lead and/or execute comprehensive and customized Risk & Compliance strategies to identify, measure business impact, design solutions, and lead large scale engaging to address the risk & compliance challenges to the business performance.
  • Develop and drive efficiencies across the risk policies, functional execution, and technology  to enhance the proficiency of the risk function (L1, L2, L3), at the enterprise level to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI, and achieve the desired business results and outcomes for clients.
  • Manage risk mitigation activities, adoption baseline, measurement, and monitoring to assess effectiveness & effectiveness of Risk Management activities. 
  • Design, mobilize, and manage a network of risk and compliance advocates.
  • Apply best practice risk & compliance methodologies to develop a customized client risk management mitigation approach.
  • Identify new and innovative ways to accelerate clients through their adoption of new technology, techniques, and practices.

Internal practice contributions:

  • Coach, manage, and mentor consulting resources at junior to mid-career levels to high-performance / high results. 
  • Build internal network and partnerships for business expansion opportunities and career growth.
  • Engage in the hiring process, including evaluating potential candidates and interviewing.
  • Assist with development of thought leadership, collateral, tools, and templates.



  • You have a bachelor’s degree in finance, business economics, mathematics, or enterprise risk management. Or equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
  • Master’s degree in advance studies is preferred.
  • Experience in one of the functional areas of risk mgnt; operational risk, technology, financial crimes, fraud, institutional and consumer credit risk management.
  • You have 5-7 years recent Big 4 and/or boutique consulting firm experience, where you built client relationships that resulted in trusted advisor activity.
  • Market – value to drive a book of business in the $5-$7MM range.
  • Experience in both transformational design and large=scale execution.
  • Fully aware and able to articulate the major trends and client expectations for the major elements of a compliance program (inventory of regulations, risk assessments, policy management, training, testing, monitoring, surveillance, reporting and advisory).
  • Not only sell risk & compliance engagements but also associated with the next gen transformations in many functional areas of transformation (future of consumer, institutional, and tech transformations),
  • Ability to devise and execute market development strategies that drive revenue growth
  • You have 5 years or more experience coaching and managing a matrixed and cross-functional team of up to 10 members.
  • You have demonstrated published thought leadership, articles, white papers across the industry.

  • You have strong project management experience, including schedule, scope, issue, and risk management.
  • You have moderate to high travel tolerance as COVID 19 restrictions are lifted.
