Job Overview:

As a Senior Delivery Director at NTT DATA, you will lead cross-functional delivery with a focus on client transformation, delivery excellence, profitable growth, cost reductions, and building high-performance teams. This role demands exceptional leadership, deep public cloud operations knowledge, a change agent mentality, and a proven track record in delivering complex digital IT solutions.

The Senior Delivery Director is responsible for the successful delivery of 24×7 managed services for a public cloud managed services account. This leader will be customer-oriented, work with a high sense of urgency, and a focus on quality, value, and timely delivery. You will direct the technical execution of multiple, concurrent solutions while adhering to government standards and while creating a great user experience. You will provide expertise in the form of organizational and people leadership, technical advisory services, program governance, customer and vendor engagement, and continuous service improvement oversight. The Senior Delivery Director will report to the Public Sector SLED COO/CTO.

This is hybrid (on-site/remote) role in Austin, Texas. 

Responsibilities:

Service Delivery & Operations

  • Own end-to-end service delivery for a 24×7 public cloud managed services contract
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, OLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations
  • Develop and maintain Crisis Management/Disaster Plans
  • Implement project mitigation plans for yellow or red deliverables
  • Conduct Customer Governance meetings
  • Manage Outage/Escalation/Missed SLA incidents
  • Implement and execute automation and efficiency programs

 

Financials:
•    Ensure accurate and timely revenue/cost/margin forecasts for assigned accounts
•    Manage costs in alignment with annual operating plans and point of sale

 

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Manage staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, and skills development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Coach and mentor a large team of delivery leaders responsible for daily client operations.

 

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary service delivery contact for the customer
  • Lead service review meetings (weekly/monthly/quarterly)
  • Communicate service performance, risks, incidents, and improvement initiatives clearly and professionally
  • Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and internal teams

 

Technical & Commercial Awareness

  • Maintain a strong understanding of public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed services operating models
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, and engineering teams on service design and improvements
  • Support contract renewals, scope changes, and service onboarding/offboarding activities

 

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in service delivery, IT operations, or managed services leadership roles
  • 5+ years’ customer-facing experience in an SLA-driven environment
  • 3+ years’ delivering public cloud services with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Experience with cloud operations, availability, security, and resiliency concepts

 

Nice to have experience:

  • 5+ years working within Public Sector and Government Agencies
  • Proven experience managing 24x7 support teams
  • Certification with AWS, MS Azure, or Google Cloud Management Platforms
