ABBYY Developer (5+ Years Experience)

Position Summary

The ABBYY Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, optimization, support, and maintenance of ABBYY Vantage/Document AI solutions used for intelligent document processing, invoice automation, OCR, and enterprise workflow integration. The role works closely with business teams, ServiceNow, MuleSoft, SAP, Power Automate, and integration teams to deliver scalable document automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

ABBYY Solution Development

• Design and develop ABBYY Vantage Document Skills, Process Skills, Splitter Skills, and Business Rules.
• Configure document classification, extraction, validation, and OCR workflows.
• Perform vendor extraction optimization and document accuracy improvements.
• Develop custom business rules and data validation logic.
• Support multilingual document processing initiatives.

OCR & Data Extraction Optimization

• Improve extraction accuracy and confidence scoring.
• Perform field mapping between ABBYY and downstream systems.
• Analyze OCR results and tune extraction logic.
• Monitor document processing trends and manual review queues.

Project Delivery

• Participate in workshops and Functional Design Document (FDD) reviews.
• Estimate development effort and support project planning.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders and vendors.
• Support regional rollouts and global deployments.

Experience Required

• 5+ years of software development or intelligent automation experience.
• 3+ years working with ABBYY Vantage or any other similar tool like Google Document AI,  Microsoft Azure AI Document Intelligence.
• Experience implementing OCR and Intelligent Document Processing solutions.
• Experience supporting production enterprise platforms.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Preferred Experience

• Accounts Payable / Invoice Automation implementations.
• ServiceNow integrations.
• MuleSoft integrations.
• Confidence score tuning and OCR optimization.
