Role: AI .NET Engineer / Senior AI .NET Developer
Experience: 10+ years overall development experience

Role Overview

Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced AI .NET Engineer with strong expertise in C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, Angular, microservices, REST APIs, and modern application architectures, along with hands-on experience integrating Generative AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise applications.

The role requires a strong engineering foundation, secure coding practices, application-security knowledge, and experience building scalable enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Core and modern architectural patterns.
• Build RESTful APIs and scalable microservices-based architectures.
• Develop modern web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS.
• Integrate Generative AI and LLM capabilities into .NET applications and enterprise workflows.
• Build AI-enabled services using APIs/SDKs for enterprise LLM platforms.
• Implement patterns such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), prompt engineering, embeddings and vector search where applicable.
• Design secure integration patterns for AI services, APIs and enterprise data.
• Identify and remediate application-security vulnerabilities including OWASP Top 10, SAST/DAST findings and dependency risks.
• Apply secure coding practices covering authentication, authorization, data protection and API security.
• Work with databases including SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL and Sybase.
• Perform debugging, root-cause analysis and production support, including security-related defects.
• Follow Agile engineering practices including TDD, BDD and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with engineering, security and business teams across a global environment.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core and .NET Core.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, multithreading and inversion of control/dependency injection.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
• 5+ years of Angular development experience, including Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS.
• Hands-on experience developing or integrating Generative AI / LLM-based solutions.
• Understanding of RAG, prompt engineering, embeddings and vector-search concepts.
• Strong understanding of secure coding and application security.
• Experience addressing OWASP Top 10, SAST/DAST and dependency vulnerabilities.
• Experience with SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL and/or Sybase.
• Experience with CI/CD, TDD, BDD and Agile engineering practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging and root-cause-analysis capabilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, security and business teams.

Preferred Skills

• Python development experience.
• Experience with enterprise AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI / OpenAI APIs.
• Experience with Semantic Kernel or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with vector databases/vector search and enterprise RAG implementations.
• Experience implementing AI solutions with appropriate security, privacy and access controls.
• Financial-services experience is preferred.
