We are currently seeking a BA - Quality Assurance Lead (data streaming) to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Quality Assurance Lead (data streaming)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will sit in the COE team to guide and monitor the quality and ways of working within a technically complex multi-vendor environment. They will have a strong knowledge of testing the implementation of data solutions on AWS infrastructure and a variety of core and supplementary technologies. This role requires a solid understanding of data engineering, cloud services, and the ability to assure quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and oversee the implementation of the Test Approach for the COE within the context of the client’s Test Strategy.
• Implement Test governance policies, procedures and quality control measures.
• Be the primary point of contact for the client and other 3rd parties for testing activity.
• Monitor, track and report on the test progress of several teams by providing meaningful reports and dashboards to Senior programme members.
• Audit progress that the Test Approach is being applied with sufficient test coverage and results. This applies to Unit, Contract, Interface/ E2E, Performance, Operational Acceptance and Chaos Testing.
• Understand the infrastructure and the Data Products that will use it.
• Lead a team of SDETs within the core programme that will test end-to-end data solutions on AWS services, including Lambda, SNS, S3, ECS, Confluent Kafka and re-usable components/ Shared Libraries for data processing applications using Python / Apache Flink.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a multi-vendor environment to ensure connected technical testing solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering/ test management.
• Experience writing programme level Master Test Plans and Test Level Test Plans for functional and non-functional testing in a data environment with a focus on data quality.
• Experience of data streaming architectures and best practices using AWS cloud services, Confluent Kafka, Lambda, SNS, S3, EKS, APIs and Python scripting.
• Understanding of data products, data infrastructure and related testing methodologies.
• Dynamic Team Leadership skills motivating SDETs to ensure efficient and effective testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with JIRA and XRAY for test coverage, defects and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of Specmatic (or similar)
• Knowledge of Non-Functional Testing with Artillery.io (or similar)
• Knowledge of CI/CD GITHUB Actions (or similar)
• AWS fundamentals (e.g., AWS Certified Data Engineer)
• Knowledge of Snowflake/ SQL 
• Knowledge of Apache Flink for stream processing
