We are currently seeking a Business Analyst - Data Domain to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Title: Business Analyst – Data Domain

 

Mandatory Skills / Experience level:

  • Overall 7+ years IT experience of which 3+ years in Business Analysis experience, preferably in an agile or hybrid environment.
  • Understanding of at least one agile framework such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFE, LESS etc.
  • Good analytical skills, business analysis and process design techniques.
  • Awareness and demonstrated experience of techniques for streamlining business processes which have been modelled and understood.
  • Good stakeholder management skills and experience in dealing with senior business users, determining requirements and priorities as well as resolving issues
  • Understand data flows
  • Understanding of data platforms and best practice
  • Able to communicate effectively between data technical and business stakeholders
  • Reflects constructively on own work, looking for ways to improve efficiency and understands the impact of decisions.
  • Good MS Office skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience of Business process and data modelling tools.

 

The person in this role:

  • Works within an Agile programme to methodically investigate, analyse, review, define and document business requirements and user stories identifying available options and the impact on the data platforms and other solutions.
  • Works closely with Product Owners to ensure that  user stories, business requirements and ‘to be’ data flows are appropriately documented and prioritised.
  • Needs to work on multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Sets up and maintains strong relationships with team members and wider stakeholders in other squads, and third parties by effectively managing expectations and inspiring confidence in delivery
  • Manages conflicting priorities to resolution.
  • Requires drive and energy to drive forward requirements from discovery into build and deployment.
  • Acts as a key interface between the NTT programme delivery team and stakeholders throughout the wider customer business.
  • Input into the scoping of initiatives and features that impact the Data Foundations squad(s), translating these into data specific requirements for the squad that deliver the capabilities required by the business to meet key business objectives.
  • You will support the refinement of new Features with other delivery squads to ensure the requirements and solutions are joined up and align to the programme strategy. You will then work with the relevant Data Product Owners and their squads to ensure that they have the right information to successfully deliver the required features, ensuring the correct traceability to the organisational and programme metrics).
  • Active member of your squad, attending and contributing to daily stand ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and other ceremonies.
  • Consult with appropriate squad and other team members as well as wider stakeholders to understand the business needs (including gap analysis)

Job Description

We are seeking a pragmatic, detail oriented and experienced Data Business Analyst to join a mid-scale multi-year digital transformation programme to build data product capability for our customer. The ideal person for this role loves to collaborate with other data professionals, engineers, and business or operations experts to understand and address their data needs. We are seeking a person who is used to working in a consultantative manner, and  used to working on behalf of clients in fast paced and demanding environments.

 

The role;

You will share a passion for Data, how it can be used to develop Data Driven Businesses, and recognise the importance of managing data as a strategic business asset. You will innovate ideas and thrive in an environment that embraces collaboration with clients and internal teams to scope, plan and execute projects on time and within budget.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with stakeholders at different layers and different points in the requirements lifecycle to elicit, generate, record, structure and manage requirements for data products and data technology solutions.  You will also have a good understanding of the technical solutions, and typical challenges and risks arising for complex programmes with data and data technologies. Your experience will come either from working in industry and being involved in managing requirements across data technologies and transformations or from working in a consulting organisation advising and assisting clients in the same, working in both singleton roles as well as part of larger teams supporting clients as part of wider transformations. We do not expect you to have led this team.

 

You will be expected to contribute to - delivering client engagements, working in cross-functional teams including on/near/offshore practitioners, client staff and senior stakeholders in a variety of contexts, across the programme.

 

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the data technology landscape, the full requirements management lifecycle, and the challenges around managing complex requirements from across a large enterprise.
