We are currently seeking a Business Consulting-UAT Senior Test Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Business Consulting-UAT Senior Test Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Tester will lead end-to-end testing activities for BFSI applications, with a strong focus on Payments and Reconciliation systems. Candidates with Fraud and Claims domain experience will be highly preferred. The role involves defining test strategy, mentoring teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery for complex, business-critical financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

Define and drive the overall test strategy and test governance for BFSI applications

Lead testing for Payments, Reconciliation, and transaction processing systems

Validate end-to-end financial flows including posting, settlement, clearing, and reconciliation

Review and approve test cases, scenarios, and test data aligned to BFSI regulations

Identify, track, and manage defects across multiple environments

Mentor intermediate and junior testers on domain and testing best practices

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and developers

Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and security requirements

Drive test automation and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Provide quality metrics, risk assessments, and release sign-off recommendations

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of experience in software testing within BFSI

Strong hands-on experience in Payments and Reconciliation domains

Solid understanding of financial transaction lifecycles, exception handling, and reporting

Experience in Fraud and Claims testing is a strong advantage

Expertise in manual testing, with exposure to test automation tools

Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum

Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, TestRail)

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

ISTQB / CSTE certification

Experience in API, database, and batch processing validation

Knowledge of ISO 8583, SWIFT, ACH, SEPA, or card payments
