We are currently seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect - CI/CD & Platform Engineering to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, standardize, and evolve our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines across the organization. This is a senior, hands-on architecture role responsible for defining scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure patterns, and for owning the CI/CD strategy that enables engineering teams to ship reliably and quickly.
You will work at the intersection of cloud architecture, DevOps/platform engineering, and infrastructure-as-code, setting the technical direction for how workloads are provisioned, deployed, and operated across our cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Architecture
•    Design and evolve enterprise cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP or multi-cloud), including landing zones, account/subscription strategy, network topology, and resource organization.
•    Define reference architectures for compute (VMs, containers, Kubernetes, serverless), storage, networking, and data services that balance cost, performance, scalability, and reliability.
•    Establish Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards and reusable modules (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Bicep) to enforce consistency across teams and environments.
•    Architect for high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity, including multi-region/multi-AZ design and RTO/RPO planning.
•    Lead cloud cost optimization initiatives (FinOps) — rightsizing, reserved capacity/savings plans, autoscaling, and tagging/governance strategies.
•    Evaluate and integrate cloud-native managed services to reduce operational overhead while meeting security and compliance requirements.
CI/CD & Deployment Engineering
•    Design and own end-to-end CI/CD architecture and standards across the organization, covering build, test, security scanning, artifact management, and deployment stages.
•    Build and maintain reusable pipeline templates (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CircleCI) to standardize deployment practices across teams.
•    Implement progressive delivery strategies — blue/green, canary, and rolling deployments — to minimize risk and downtime during releases.
•    Define GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux) for Kubernetes and cloud-native application deployments.
•    Establish environment promotion strategies (dev → staging → production), release gating, approval workflows, and rollback mechanisms.
•    Partner with engineering teams to reduce lead time for changes and deployment failure rates, and to improve overall DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, change failure rate).
•    Integrate security and compliance checks into the pipeline (SAST/DAST, dependency scanning, image scanning, policy-as-code) in partnership with security teams.
Platform Reliability & Operations
•    Define observability standards (metrics, logging, tracing) and integrate monitoring/alerting into infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
•    Drive containerization and orchestration strategy (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS/GKE), including cluster architecture, namespace/multi-tenancy design, and workload scheduling.
•    Establish patterns for secrets management, configuration management, and environment parity across the deployment lifecycle.
•    Support incident response and post-incident reviews related to infrastructure or deployment failures, driving root-cause fixes into architecture standards.
•    Define capacity planning and autoscaling strategies to meet performance SLAs cost-effectively.
Leadership & Collaboration
•    Act as the technical authority on cloud infrastructure and CI/CD practices, advising engineering, security, and product teams.
•    Review and approve infrastructure and deployment designs for new services prior to production rollout.
•    Mentor DevOps/platform/SRE engineers and champion infrastructure-as-code and automation-first culture across the organization.
•    Partner with security architecture on secure infrastructure and deployment patterns (network segmentation, IAM, pipeline hardening).
•    Evaluate emerging tools and vendors, and lead build-vs-buy decisions for platform tooling.

Required Qualifications
•    10+ years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles, with 3+ years in an architect-level capacity.
•    Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP); multi-cloud experience a plus.
•    Proven track record designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines at scale, using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
•    Strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or Bicep) and configuration management (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
•    Solid experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) including production-grade cluster design.
•    Experience implementing GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux) and progressive delivery patterns (canary, blue/green).
•    Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (VPC/VNet design, load balancing, DNS, CDN) and how they intersect with deployment architecture.
•    Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry).
•    Experience integrating security scanning and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.
•    Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate architecture decisions into practical guidance for engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
•    Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
•    Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD).
•    Experience with FinOps practices and cloud cost management tooling (CloudHealth, Kubecost, native cloud cost tools).
•    Background in SRE practices — SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, and on-call/incident management.
•    Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateway design.
•    Exposure to policy-as-code frameworks (OPA/Gatekeeper, Sentinel) for governance and compliance enforcement.
•    Experience supporting regulated environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) from an infrastructure/deployment perspective.

What Success Looks Like in the First 6–12 Months
•    A published cloud infrastructure reference architecture and IaC module library adopted across engineering teams.
•    Standardized CI/CD pipeline templates rolled out to the majority of active services, reducing deployment lead time and change failure rate.
•    Improved DORA metrics (deployment frequency, MTTR, change failure rate) with visible before/after data.
•    A documented DR/HA strategy tested via at least one failover exercise.
•    Strong collaborative relationships established with security, SRE, and product engineering teams.
