We are currently seeking a Demand Forecast Manager - APAC Regional BU to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).
Role Summary
The Regional BU Demand & Forecast Manager is responsible for leading demand planning, workforce forecasting, and capacity alignment across a regional business unit. This role partners closely with business, delivery, finance, sales, talent acquisition, and workforce management teams to translate business pipeline, revenue plans, and delivery needs into accurate, actionable workforce forecasts.
The role ensures the region has the right talent, in the right locations, at the right time to support growth, utilization, margin, and delivery commitments. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, workforce planning expertise, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Lead regional business unit demand forecasting across short-, medium-, and long-term planning horizons.
- Translate sales pipeline, booked work, revenue forecasts, and delivery plans into workforce demand projections.
- Partner with business and delivery leaders to validate forecast assumptions, demand signals, and resource requirements.
- Identify demand trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities across practices, skills, locations, and roles.
- Maintain a rolling view of workforce demand to support proactive hiring, redeployment, upskilling, and contingent labor decisions.
Workforce Capacity & Supply Alignment
- Partner with regional resource management, talent acquisition, HR, and practice teams to align supply plans to forecast demand.
- Monitor capacity, utilization, bench, attrition, hiring pipeline, and skill availability across the region.
- Identify supply-demand gaps and recommend actions to mitigate delivery risk or talent shortages.
- Support scenario planning for business growth, new deals, delivery shifts, location strategy, and workforce mix optimization.
- Provide insights to improve workforce readiness, productivity, and talent deployment effectiveness.
Business Unit Partnership
- Serve as the primary workforce demand and forecast lead for regional BU stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with business, finance, sales, and delivery leaders to ensure alignment between commercial plans and workforce needs.
- Facilitate demand review discussions, forecast governance meetings, and planning cadences.
- Challenge assumptions and improve forecast quality through data, trends, and business context.
- Provide executive-ready insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Governance, Reporting & Insights
- Establish and manage consistent regional demand forecasting processes, templates, and reporting standards.
- Track forecast accuracy, demand volatility, fulfillment risk, and workforce planning KPIs.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and executive summaries that highlight key risks, actions, and decisions needed.
- Ensure regional demand data is accurate, timely, and aligned with global workforce management standards.
- Support continuous improvement of forecasting methodologies, tools, and governance processes.
Strategic Workforce Management
- Contribute to strategic workforce planning initiatives across the region and enterprise.
- Provide insight into future skills, emerging demand, talent gaps, and workforce investment needs.
- Partner with global SWM teams to ensure regional demand plans align with enterprise standards and operating models.
- Support workforce optimization strategies, including internal mobility, location mix, pyramid planning, and build/buy/borrow decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in workforce planning, demand forecasting, resource management, business operations, finance planning, delivery operations, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience leading demand planning or workforce forecasting in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Strong understanding of workforce supply-demand management, utilization, capacity planning, and talent fulfillment processes.
- Experience partnering with senior business, delivery, sales, finance, HR, and talent acquisition stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
- Experience developing dashboards, performance metrics, executive summaries, and operational reports.
- Ability to lead governance discussions, challenge assumptions, and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency with workforce planning tools, Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in IT services, consulting, professional services, managed services, or large-scale delivery organizations.
- Prior experience supporting regional or global workforce management functions.
- Familiarity with sales pipeline forecasting, revenue planning, project staffing, and delivery operations.
- Experience with strategic workforce planning, skills-based planning, or talent supply chain transformation.
- Knowledge of AI-enabled forecasting, workforce analytics, or advanced planning platforms.
- Experience working across multiple geographies, business units, or delivery practices.
